About Central Virginia Electric Cooperative
Serving over 36,000 accounts, Central Virginia Electric Cooperative is a member-owned, not-for-profit electric utility headquartered in Colleen, Virginia. CVEC serves residential, agricultural, commercial and industrial accounts in the rural portions of 14 Virginia counties. Created by the members to provide electric service where it was previously unavailable, CVEC has been improving the quality of life since 1937. For 80 years, the Co-op has provided the reliable delivery of affordable energy to its member owners.

We have always had an excellent experience with CVEC. They quickly restore power when there are outages. The workers we have interacted with are hard workers, kind, efficient, and professional. Also, Firefly is fantastic.

We have had CVEC for many years for both electric and Internet service and are quite happy with both. Much more consistent than surrounding providers.
