6673 Little River Turnpike, Annandale“Good quality and prices are the reasons I shop here. I’ve been to every Meadows Farm location in the area. Over the years I’ve seen more variety and quality in every way.”
“After reading these comments I was skeptical, but this place yes is over priced…as most fresh local garden produce is. It takes hard work to raise real fruits and vegetables. So if you don’t like it don’t buy it! Secondly, you crazy people in snobsville, leave your damn dog home if it’s 90 dogs. It’s their business and if they say no dogs on premises that’s the owners choice. Why do you people in this area think that we as a society has to bow down to you dumbness!I’ll continue to shop here!”
“What a great experience! From the moment I entered the retail store to buy a bonsai, to asking a question, a minute later, talking to a designer, Jeff Trafidlo, to him coming to my house; to less than two weeks later- my dream realized! Just a stairway, up my hill, so I don’t fall and die. That’s all I wanted. They didn’t talk me into a full landscape remodel; yes it could use it. He listened to me, explained the process, assured me that he was on the same page about how and what I wanted. His background was impressive as he guided us through the process. Not a big deal- you might think- but to us it is! This company has more than earned their stellar reputation. And thanks to Jeff, we have our amazing stairway!! Thank you!!”
“Saved the day when Harris Teeter failed to fulfill my order. Arrangement was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Should’ve know to go with a local professional in the first place. Will only be using Flowers & Plants in the future!”
“VERY HELPFUL AND VERY GREAT PEOPLETHEY WENT THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE SURE MY FLOWERS GOT WHERE THEY NEEDED TO BE ON TIMECAFFI FLORIST IS MY GO TO IN VIENNA AND THEY ARE 10/10”
“Good vibes here. Excellent and eclectic selection that is fun to browse and makes for good gifts. Staff is excellent and knows about the plants they're selling. I bought my partner a bonsai tree for Christmas and she is absolutely in love.”
“Burke Florest moved from its old location and is now on Pickett Road. The shop is much larger allowing them to have a larger selection and inventory of flowers. I had. Last minute job and they did a beautiful job as always. Everyone in shop is pleasant and works friendly. They will continue to get my business even in new location. Highly Recommended!”

6461 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church“Excellent service, even on a rainy day. We went in to get a host gift and they replanted it in one of their pots as a courtesy. Very knowledgeable and helpful here. Can’t wait to revisit next time I’m in town. Thank you. :)”
“Greenstreet Gardens is a gem in the midst of Alexandria! I stopped there, looking for a larger pot for one of my indoor plants and met Kate Ellen who is not only warm and friendly, but a living encyclopedia on plants! She not only helped me, but educated me.I'm looking forward to returning to purchase plants for my patio and brightening up the outdoor space. This is a business that cares not only about plants, but nurturing a relationship with people.”
“I love finding local nursery's and this one did not disappoint! I assume the owner was super friendly upon walking in and immediately offered if we needed help finding anything. They have a great selection of all garden items including a nice selection of healthy plants!I have to say the BEST part of finding a var. string of pearls for $2.99!!!! What a steal and it's still thriving and great condition! If you're a beginner plant plant looking for a nice selection at a good price, stop by WTN!!!!”
“I wish that I had visited this place sooner. The plants are very healthy and the prices are reasonable. Also a helpful staff member is always available to assist.”
“Silverbrook is a great Nursery right in our neighborhood of Pulte homes at Silverbrook Road in Lorton. For the last ten years we have consistently uniform service for landscaping work small and big. The employs are very productive, loyal and competitive. Honesty is their big element, particularly, Buzz, Tom, Cindy, Pat, Douglas and their employees are worthy of mention. I highly recommend them for quality landscaping work. A ChampaneriService: Stone landscaping”
“I work with site one in California and these guys are just as congenial possibly but turf from me at purchase green artificial grass if Springfield hopefully turn into a lasting venture. Thanks for the opportunity. No matter staff is very nice.”
“They are straight up. A bad review i read here about their warranty is not justified. If they got a full season then had same problem, nothing to complain about. Pay to fix it again or get a new one. They arent in business to accomodate you at no cost. Who does that? Ive always got a fair shake here. But nowadays, i do my own work on small engines 2 and 4 stroke but I will still order parts from them. Thanks Wicks!”
“This is a great place to purchase wholesale flowers for floral arrangements. Prices aren’t too bad and they typically have a wide variety of flowers, fillers and greenery. I have been able to purchase exactly what I needed to make floral arrangements for 3 different events. You’re able to go into the cooler and pick out everything yourself.”

6555 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria“Brittney at the lumber said "I don't like customers waiting" right before she helped me and it's true. thanks again for getting me in and out! -DC”
“I have been purchasing equipment at Virginia Outdoor Power for over a decade now. They have great customer service and they usually have everything in stock. The only downfall is I feel like the prices are a little bit too much. I have since found other places to shop that are a lot more competitive.”

6555 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria“I had to pick up a couple of new strands of Christmas lights cause good luck finding the bulb that doesn't work lol!Was happy to see they still actually had a large selection instead of being sold out like in recent years.Got two packages of lights, a new pot for my ever-growing, orchid, and a new cute little succulent. Literally, every employee I passed, said hello to me, had a big smile on the face and it was genuine and warm and welcoming. It was a really good vibe. Steven was my cashier and he was amazing! So friendly, helpful, and he also had a big warm smile on his face!”
“I visited three different stores since Sunday and the customer service was nonexistent. I finally decided to try one more store and when I tell you I hit the jackpot with customer service, I'm not exaggerating. I have a hard time making decisions. I met Mark in flooring and he showed me the tile section. I needed tiles for my bathroom floor, wall, and backsplash. He walked me through the pros and cons, made recommendations, and helped me spend $1200. I was so relieved to have professional help. He was very knowledgeable about the products and professional. This man went above and beyond to assist to the very end. He loaded my car and ensured I had all the additional items I needed. I have never felt this happy about shopping ever! If you need tile, want a nice selection, and desire exceptional customer service, ask for Mark in flooring!!”

3201 Blenheim Blvd, Fairfax“I visited here to rent a larger tool that's not available at other, closer, Home Depots and Ryan went above and beyond to help make sure I had the best experience possible. He recommended considering a box truck with a built in, less steep ramp to take the 350+ lb tool rather than the pickup and detachable ramp with a much steeper incline that I had originally reserved. When he showed me the difference he was absolutely right and it made things so much easier on me when loading and unloading. Then he showed me how to secure it in the truck, educated me on how it worked, and got me on my way while making sure I had everything I needed. All while assisting his coworkers and a computer down. When I returned the machine and truck later the employees were surprised I'd been able to handle it so easily and I put that down to Ryan preparing me when he so easily could have just waved me on my way. I would absolutely rent from here again, especially with Ryan at the desk.”

2815 Merrilee Dr, Fairfax“Wonderful garden department. Very convenient and store representatives are usually helpful or at least try to be (Ace Hardware has much better trained and knowledgeable store reps). Whenever any packaged product is bought, however, usually go to the hardware/fastener section to purchase real screws or hardware for the product, as sometimes the included hardware is of such poor quality that they don't hold up, e.g., screw heads that shear off when you use a power screwdriver - good luck digging out the screw post. Nails that are of questionable integrity and content. Stainless steel hardware should not rust. Nonetheless, very happy that they have and offer what they do, as they are very convenient. Also find their Android app to be very convenient.”
“The staff here are amazing! Nixon and Terrence in particular were so knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Helped me get exactly the right parts to get the job done. Thanks!”

6555 Little River Turnpike, Alexandria“This is the best Home Depot around. The workers are friendly, happy, nice, and welcoming. I've been here 8 times in 5 days, it's worth the drive if you need help or want advice. Thank you to the mangers at this location, you're doing all the right things, putting the customer first and helping us dream of our next project! Store is stocked well, organized, clean, and well run.”

6210 Seven Corners Center, Falls Church“This review is essentially about Home Depot's access to the Bagster service. I had hundreds of pounds of old roofing that needed removal. You need a place to put the bag that they can pick up without interfering with overheads, like wires and space, like parking. It cost me about $250! And I could have loaded even more, but I didn't have time. They don't take old appliances etc. In under 10 minutes, they were done and gone. It's www.thebagster.com.”
“Right off the highway on our way back to D.C. from a Richmond trip, we pulled into this Home Depot. It's exactly like all the other Home Depots with a large garden area and massive aisles of anything you need for a home project. Bathrooms are in the back, but expect some dirt inside. Customer service was helpful and friendly.”
“As th we employees keep pointing out to me, this is one of the smallest in the area. Nevertheless, I always find what I need there. The employees are really helpful and friendly.”
“I don't know why I've never stopped by Miracle Garden Center before 2023, especially since I driven past many times over the years. I guess, mostly by habit, if I needed plants or flowers, I would drive a few more minutes up the road to the Home Depot, since I always thought HD was cheaper. I purchased my usual assortment from Home Depot of herbs (basil, cilantro, etc.) as well as a few tomato varietals in mid-March 2023, however, by late April most of the plants were dead. Granted, it was a colder than usual Spring season, but these plants should've been hearty enough to withstand a bit of frost. As I have a penchant for supporting small businesses, I decided to finally pop in the Miracle Garden Center, and departed asking myself, "what took me so long to check this place out?"Located off of busy Rt. 236 (Little River Turnpike), it is easy to miss this mom and pop business. Look for a white 1-story structure with the "Miracle Garden Center" signs affixed to the building. There are a few parking spots in front and around the side for easy access.Upon passing through the gates, I was struck by the sheer variety of vegetation ranging from indoor/outdoor flowers, mini-trees, and of course, plants for your garden. I picked up a few pepper varieties since I always love fresh chilis and got a fantastic price on some habanero, serrano, and Hungarian wax peppers. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have any Thai Chili plants, but the gentleman watering the plants indicated that their supplier didn't carry it this season. I also picked up a few tomato varietals such as Roma, cherry, and a Sungold. Of note, the Italian Basil, sweet mint, and Cilantro that I purchased a few weeks ago have also flourished in my garden since I planted them in late mid-May.No knock against them, but unlike my experiences asking questions of the staff at HD about frequency of watering, recommended amount of sunlight exposure, etc, the team at Miracle Garden are friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to share their their wealth of information. Now that I'm headed back into my office more often, I even picked up a snake plant for my desk, since this is a very "low maintenance" plant which is not only super easy to care for, but has numerous benefits (healthline.com/health/be…) including air filtration and oxygenation. Chatting with the staff, I understand they also carry seasonal items such as pumpkins in the Fall and Christmas trees during the winter. Miracle Garden Center is just the type of local business I love to support and recommend to the Yelp community.”
