10AM - 6:30PM
3100 M St NW, Washington“Intriguing variety of liquors in the heart of Georgetown. Owner and staff were not only helpful but very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this historical wine & spirits store.”
“Terrific local brew shop with great rotating taps. Employees are super friendly and will guide to a great growler fill or a good bottled beer based upon your tastes.”
“Just an hour ago, I had the pleasure of presenting wines at Verified Wines and Fine Spirits and was genuinely impressed by the experience. The community here, led by Max and his dedicated team, is incredibly welcoming — it's like being part of a family. Sharing the exquisite Salton Wines from Brazil with such enthusiastic customers on a lively Tuesday evening was a delight. The shop's pet-friendly environment adds to the charm, making it feel like a slice of wine country right here in DC. A big thank you for the wonderful experience – I'm already excited for the opportunity to come back and share more wonderful wines. And to whoever is reading this review and feeling my excitement, here are the pictures I took to document the whole experience. I will cherish this day forever!”
“Absolutely the best bottle shop in Nova. Last place you can get a rad beer for a fair price from folk who know what they're talking about. I like a lot of bottle shops in the area but I love it here. Get you to Norms.”
10AM - 8PM
4339 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington“I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Amos who is currently employed at Calvert Woodley Fine Wines & Spirits. Amos provides excellent customer service with his polite and patient demeanor. He excels at matching a client’s budget with a choice of wine and champagne appropriate to the occasion. My daughter, Airlie, and her husband, Nicholas, from Chamonix, France, as well as her mother-in-law, were extremely impressed with his knowledge of champagne from the region, while still offering competitive price ranges. Hands down, Amos is my go-to person for a variety of social occasions!”
“I may have found my wine and cheese place.
John and Dani there are super knowledgeable - something I didn't expect stepping in. They let me sample some of the most amazing cheeses and even sample some wine. It's amazing to see their passion for the finer things in life while being so down to earth and helpful.
They packaged and labeled each cheese individually and described the overwhelming differences between the champagnes.
I got a great bottle of champagne there for a good price. Needless to say, I'll be back soon.”
“Very nice, relaxing atmosphere. The staff was knowledgeable of the selection of wines, and the restaurant attached was quaint and intimate. Great place to go for date night or a night on the town.”
“This family run business by the Basdin family has been around for decades. The liquor store started as a French wine store but has expanded and specialized into California and other areas.
Great selection of wines. The staff have been there for decades, specialize in diverse areas, and are immensely helpful. My personal preference over the otherwise excellent Woodley Park Liquors. Online ordering and pickup are a breeze.”
“Ace was amazing for our wedding! It was so easy and we ended up paying less than the deposit we put down, and they refunded that. We loved that they delivered and picked up the remaining alcohol we didn't use.”
“I can only speak to the craft beer portion. But because they're part of the Neighborhood Restaurant Group, they receive some truly rare beers that not even the best beer shops can get their hands on! Prices are fair. Staff is very knowledgeable.Recommendation is to open up more of their selection to both The Front Porch and Evening Star Cafe”
“Shocked!! Stopped by to pick up a few bottles before my parents arrived in town,I grew up in the SF Bay Area, close to Napa, Sonoma, and Lodi. We usually bought wine at the wineries. Well... I'm just about out of my CA stash,The lady at the shop was super helpful, helped me choose whites and reds. We opened a bottle from Cline, I did not have high hopes. It said Contra Costa on the bottle (where I grew up!). Anyhow, it was fabulous and only $16.99.I am looking FWD to trying the rest and going back!!BTW... sandwich shop is delicious (a few doors down) and bread shop is great too. Lots of little gems in the neighborhood”
“This shop has an actually remarkable selection of wines. From affordable options under $15 to exquisite and unique expressions from around the world. I was blown away by the options and the care and thoughtfulness in their selection”
“Incredible variety and selection of beer and wines, organized in a way to make finding what you're looking for easy. Also enjoy following Talbert's on Instagram where they post all the latest/unique offerings.”
9AM - 9:30PM
5100 Wisconsin Ave, Washington“First time there, Raymond from the wine section was tremendously helpful, i had a ton of stuff to bring to the car and he went out of his way to help me out. Much appreciated.”
“I worked with Vienna Vinter to set up a private dinner for executives. The team was incredible to work with. They recommended catering and a chef. They were easy to work with. We will definitely host an event there again.”
10AM - 9PM
4349 Duke St, Alexandria“It doesn't matter what day or what time I visited the store, the staff is always bright, friendly, polite and helpful. The young gentleman cashier today with the dreadlocks smile was so bright that it changed my attitude and mood. Always a wonderful experience at this location!”
“What a beautiful experience! Upscale cafe with excellent sandwiches, breads, pastries and also offers a fantastic selection of wines. Definitely a bit of a European feel. The place is very clean and calm and a lovely spot to spend an afternoon! Evelyn is amazing and we truly enjoyed our time here, looking forward to returning!”
“A big THANK YOU to everyone at Arrowine for a seamless online holiday ordering experience. And special thanks to Mr. Hassen for helping me choose some excellent wines this morning for a dinner party (and as an aside, kudos for his deft handling of a rather unprofessional customer). Five stars for quality and service.”
9AM - 10PM
800 N Glebe Rd, Arlington“This Total Wine store has a lot of great wines, but the "wine experts" have been so-so. However, recently, we had a "wine expert" named Eva who was super helpful and friendly. It changed our perception of the store from a mediocre location to 5-star. I hope they give her a chance to coach other wine experts in the store.”
“I've been here a couple times. It's a small place with great service. The deli is excellent. I recommend the Reuben with no modifications. On one occasion, my card was unexpectedly declined; the cashier was very gracious and took care of the next customer at the second register while I sorted out the issue, so I didn't suffer any further embarrassment OR hold up the line. I really appreciate that level of service.”
“The manager Hector is the best! Always great service. Yea, yea all ABC's pretty much have the same inventory. My most recent was over NYE.So for me a rare 5 of ABC because the staff makes the difference at this store.”
“Great selection of adult beverages. Beer and thousands of wines. Buy beer the case. It is way less expensive than regular beer stores, and the selection is impressive.
If you're looking for beer and/or wine, this is your spot.”
9AM - 10PM
6801 Bland St, Springfield“I just got off the phone with Luis at the Springfield location. He was amazing on the phone answered all my questions, didn't mind I asked stupid questions. You guys have a great employee working for you. Will definitely see you guys soon.”
“It's still five stars here, and they also opened the nearby Sara's Market. Love them both. But now the "food desert" aspects of Georgetown have improved since my previous review. We got our Whole Foods back (although it is mechanized, so the ambience sucks), and Trader Joe's opened, as did Wegman's and Streets. So there is competition, definitely, but this little corner shop still has my heart.”
“Very helpful staff.
Unfortunately, wine selection is limited to a few bottle due to them only being able to sell Virginia made wines.
Store is clean and well stocked with liquors.”
“What a fantastic store with so many treasures. Yes it's a little chaotic with unpacked inventory and higgledipiggely shelves, but it feels like an adventure with lots of precious things to find. I'm a fan”
11AM - 9PM
1330 S Fern St, Arlington“Located on a quiet, pretty street in a beautiful part of Arlington, this shop has a wonderful wine selection. The staff are kind, knowledgeable, helpful, and go above and beyond. They do wine tastings on Fridays, which is very nice. I love this shop!”
“Legit ABC store!Walked in, was greeted quickly, and bounced ideas off the staffer. Ended up with a glorious bottle, and threw it in my bag like a hobo. Credit accepted. Easy parking, though not a lot. There's more parking at the shopping center next door.”
