This a very nice American Legion that is open to the public. They have Karaoke, Trivia Nights and a monthly Commanders breakfast which is delicious.

Great gathering place for veterans, additive military and their families. Great events, dinners, weekend parties with bands and great food. A charitable organization, they go out of their way to help members and their families as well as all vets in need.

Great post in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Friendly, welcoming club room and a great supporter of the local community as well as providing help with Veteran services .

My good friend is a member and its always a chill and fun time. The bartenders are so sweet and everyone is so nice. Pool is free, lots of machines if you like to place that stuff.

Our family met at the American Legion Post 1976 for the post's all you can eat brunch which they offer every third Sunday. The food was great and was surprisingly all you can eat for $8. The servers are volunteers and pretty friendly. We'll definitely be back and recommend it to others. It was hard to know which door to enter so my only recommendation to them would be posting a sign on each door (we went to three and still hadn't found the correct door) saying which one to use for the breakfast. It was also a little confusing knowing how to order so possibly a greeter for new people would be helpful.

American Legion Post 1976 is absolutely wonderful, I'm so thankful to call the members family! 150% service dog friendly with the nicest people! ? I'll never give up my home post!
