The staff are so kind and friendly and our rural route carriers are extraordinary. I ship multiple packages nearly daily and my customers are frequently complimenting the speed of shipping. Amelia USPS is fast and efficient. Thank you!!

Surprised the mailbox held that much weight. A friend in Amelia posted this on Facebook.

The don’t deliver packages if they can’t put them in the mailbox. And the employees at the facility are super ignorant and rude.

You'll discover some cool history in Amelia! The architecture is beautiful throughout the town and many of the house are from the 1800's and early 1900's. But the lovely architect comes to a halt once you arrive at the Amelia Courthouse post office. This very generic, rectangular brick building really has little charm, which is a shame considering ma y of the other appealing buildings. If you look up at the door entrance, you'll find it rusted and grungy, in dire need of a paint job! This post office is quite drab inside, old and dreary interior with shabby linoleum flooring and unflattering fluorescent lighting. The antique brass post boxes are cool though! But, all in all, this place definitely needs an update and could use some TLC. As far as service, these small country post offices are friendly and accommodating! There are seldom long lines and the have Saturday hours from 10am-12pm. Sending packages, snagging a greeting card, purchasing stamps, getting money orders are pretty easy breezy! But no passport services or self serve kiosks. All in all, a pretty average postal service, although the building and cleanliness substandard. Amelia should deliver more.

The main lady who works there deserves better. She is very nice with an old falling apart building and needs some more active staff. Haven't had any problems with mail personally but the building needs some extensive work.

Absolutely rude service. I've never had a problem with this postal service until today. They lied to Amazon stating that our driveway was inaccessible. Then when I called today asking what happened because I had 3 other deliveries made that day by other companies I got yelled at. I will be calling Amazon and asking them not to send any of my packages via USPS again.

By far the *most pleasant* USPS transaction I've ever had, like, what just happened? It's probably because this post is located in a less-densely populated/more "country" area, but the agent that processed my packages and gave me a tour of their available stamp styles could not have been more accommodating or agreeable--we even shared a few laughs! Makes me want to find more reasons to visit Amelia Court House whenever I have a bunch of shipping to do. Cute town, surprisingly charming post office experience.
