Bella and Sturgis are not the easiest German Shepherd Dogs to stand still while their nails get clipped. But the experts at The Groomery did a great job for our pups. They were able to easily deal with Sturgis' "exuberance" and Bella's "excitement."
Prices for a nail tim are competitive with other groomers, and, considering the expertise and kind handling of our pets, The Groomery, Ltd. Is an OUTSTANDING value!
The location is easy to get to, the first right off RT 1 N (S. Patrick St.) from I-495) onto Franklin St., just cross Washington and on the left. Plenty of drop-off and pickup parking right in front of the building.
Bella and Sturgis have asked to take them back to The Groomery the next time they need some sprucing up! We will honor that request.

I am so pleased with my dog's grooming! It took me a long time to find a groomer that would take a senior dog with heart murmur. The staff took great care of my senior schnoodle and made sure he was comfortable. He has some open wounds from scratching his warts and even the vet couldnt help me with keeping the wound clean. They cleaned it up for me and even offered advice on how to keep it clean and told me I can bring him in to touch up so that the fur will not get into his wounds so it can finally heal. I highly, highly recommend them!

The Groomery Ltd. did not give me the impression that they take pride in their work or genuinely care about their clients. My dog was sick after I picked him up, I am afraid they beat him. I wouldn’t recommend them based on this experience.

Javier does a great job with my cocker spaniel Nana. She always leaves looking like a little teddy bear, which I love ?☺️. Worth the drive from DC to Alexandria.

KUDOS to you Katie! Due to a previous negative experience at another groomer, our pet became super anxious to be groomed. It was breaking out heart! We started out this morning to The Groomery, excited but apprehensive. This was our first visit and they were highly recommended. From the time we walked in the door, we knew we were in the right place. Katie did an outstanding job grooming our Inky, but most importantly he was happy and calm. Yes, we are very pleased and very thankful. See you soon Katie, you made our dogs day and ours!

Absolutely don't bring a nervous cat here for a nail trim.
I brought my orange girl in today, and when they were done, I checked her back paws and they were cut way too close. If the groomer couldn't handle a nervous cat, they should have said so instead of doing her nails wrong. She was already scared of having her nails trimmed and they made it worse.

Not sure the Hispanics gentleman's name that groomed my dog and I understood they say they needed to cut my dogs hair down but I could've done this hair cut at home. $189 was absurd for the quality received. Ears weren't cleaned out and were still caked with ear wax. Nails didn't looked trimmed. Hair cut was terrible. This is the first time a groomer cut off my dogs eyelashes. Not sure if he was new to grooming or not but the ears are dangerously short. It is not safe for Goldendoodle ears to be cut down all the way. Hopefully his ear tips do not bleed due to lack of protection. Got a nice bandana though I guess. New groomers should not charge full price. Especially if the full groom isnt recieved. I was made to pay before I even seen my dog.

Took my dog for her first grooming appointment and could not be any happier with them. Everyone was very friendly and my puppy loved them. They will definitely be my go to for future grooming appointments.

I have been using The Groomery for years and can say w/o a doubt that it is the best pet grooming in the entire region that I have found, and I have tried many! Belle the owner is incredibly accommodating and knowledgeable. Her staff is kind and help keep our little ones as calm as possible through the whole process. They have done both cats and dogs for us and they come out as showpieces every single time.

The Groomery is the only place I’ll take my baby. They do the purrfect lion cut, and they do it quickly! My girl always enjoys doing a catwalk down the stairs at home in her boots with the fur.
