Just walked in at this location at 1:40pm 11/30/2023 always had helpful people but this lady was showing someone how to make an online order I asked if she wanted me to spell out the product and her demeanor and attitude was rude and I have no idea why she went off on me without doing anything to her. She later told me I was trying to tell her how to do her job. That wasn’t my intent at all. I have previously have gone in there and when others have signed in for online orders they then asked for my address when it should just pop up so I was trying to avoid that situation as it has happened in the past. Then when they were scrolling looking for the product I told her that I know how the product is spelt if they needed that to search for it. She told me that is not how it is done when others in the past have asked for the spelling to search for the product. She said I was trying to tell her how to do her job so that apparently justified her to speak to someone rudely. My intent was to help her as I did in the past with others at the front and she took it as me telling her what to do. From this I think I’ll just order all my stuff directly from the company instead of going through Sephora.

Went to this location on 11/30 at 1:40 pm and was treated poorly. I will not shop at Sephora again. I'll just order directly from the make up and face care companies instead of going into Sephora.

Worst Sephora ever. Every single Sephora I've been to around the country has been amazing... and then there was this one.Strike 1 - I initially ordered a product online to pick up in-store. I received an email 30 minutes later saying that it was cancelled. I checked back online the next day to see if the product was in-stock. It was. I decided to go to the store to purchase. They had PLENTY of said product in stock.Strike 2 - Customer service is TERRIBLE. As soon as I walked in, there were 2 employees at the door (I'm assuming one was the manager), and nothing. No greeting, no hello. Just too much personal chatter about someone they don't like, loud enough for the store to hear.Strike 3 - Again, customer service is terrible. I decided to check out perfumes, and there was a different employee right beside me and still nothing. He just looked at me and kept going. Didn't ask me if I needed anything, didn't say a word. Just acted like he was busy organizing the same shelf for 10 minutes.Not that I needed any help, but the fact that the staff decided to greet and help 2 women who walked in right after me felt a little discriminatory and unwelcoming.This Sephora is lazy and unwelcoming. And I will happily not be returning.

Crista was wonderful and very professional but engaging. With my many questions, she answered everyone with a smile and welcomed them. She did an amazing job, and I'll definitely be back to see her. My only regret later was I didn't purchase any product that she used and offered.Thanks again, Crista,Satisfied customer!!!!

Ran in quickly to grab an item and there was only one person on the floor helping customers. Packed store. Finally found my thing after lapping the whole store to find it then having to sift thru the refill drawer to get it, and went to check out. In our small talk told the sales lady that I was in a rush and didn’t want the promotional barbie gift she was trying to sell me , she proceeded to ring me out dramatically slow, very slowly folding my receipts in thirds, playing with my bag and folding it?? while looking away. Felt very petty and inconsiderate.

I just want to shout out Morgan at this location!! (She ran the register on Memorial Day). She was super cool and engaging when she talked to each customer before me and my friend and continued it on. I always like to shout out amazing customer service when I see it and she deserves it!

I would give it minus stars if that were an option. I have been a customer of Sephora since 1998 when they opened in the U.S. However after two recent visits to the Old Town Alexandria location in April 2023 the customer service and manager were so awful that I have closed my Sephora account, unsubscribed from all their communications, and will never shop from Sephora again. Hopefully someone from corporate looks at this and looks into current management and staffing at this location on King St that has the worst and most insulting customer service of anywhere I have shopped - ever - anywhere in the world. It takes a special kind of bad to earn that distinction.

I went here on 3/24, about 30 minutes before closing. Morgan helped me and she was awesome! I was looking for the perfect smudge-free liquid lip for a black tie event. Although it was close to closing, Morgan didn’t rush the process and really took my preferences into account to help me find a great option! Needless to say my lips were killer at the event :) thanks for the stellar service!

After reading all of the bad reviews, I was a little skeptical to go to this store. I visited this location on a Sunday and it was extremely busy and I was already prepared not to be helped. To my surprise, I was offered assistance multiple times by different sales associates. I went in looking for Bobbi Brown concealer but they don't carry her products at that location. However, a very nice young man made every effort to help me find an alternative. Although, I didn't buy any concealer, I did spend my $50 gift card on other products. I found the cashiers to be vibrant with positive attitudes. So based on this experience, I'd visit again.

I was there in the afternoon on Feb. 19, there is a SA was very friendly, she’s a black girl with the glasses on.I was interested in Skinfix serum, there is no tester in the counter, she helped to make a tester, and she asked me do I need a sample?I am the rouge vip in Sephora many years, I have never known I could request a sample from Sephora! Sometimes buying the wrong item because I couldn’t try before buying.But she is an excellent SA, after using the sample, I think I will order the serum sooner than later!

Sad to say that I can't even write a good review because I've been trying to call them since 11 AM this morning. It is February 19 for 14 p.m. at the moment and I've been listening to elevator music for the past 30 minutes just because the people that work at the Sephora obviously can't do the job and pick up the phone. It's literally required. I called you guys seven times I've been on hold every single time I literally never spoke to an actual person and they won't pick up the phone. Maybe this will help you guys a little better.

Me and my daughter went to the King street location today and we will never return. We were racially profiled in the store by this lady with blonde hair that followed us from one end of the store to the other the entire time that we were in the store. We spend a lot of money in Sephora from makeup to body products and what’s trending on TikTok we will always pick up and try. I spent several thousand dollars Christmas time buying Christmas gifts from Sephora and this was the worst experience I have ever had in a Sephora location. Never returning and I live a few blocks away.
