SAFEWAY PHARMACY - ROSE HILL. This review is specifically about the pharmacy only. First, let me say that while I've been to this store many times - the store staff is generally very nice and helpful. I've never used the pharmacy here before so I thought I'd give it a try. This is my first and last. The pharmacist (Randa) was incredibly rude, smug, unfriendly, unhelpful. It was as if she deliberately chose to be a jerk to me. I walked up to the pharmacy window just steps behind and elderly lady. Randa came to the window to assist the woman who had some sort of appointment (presumably for a shot/vaccine or something like that) within a minute or two upon our arrival. The lady shuffles off to the side to wait for her shot. Randa, rather than even address me, acknowledge me, or even say hi...heads back over to her computer monitor where she remained, filling out PDFs to print out. I wait patiently for (I kid you not) at least 12 minutes. Long enough for 5 different songs to cycle through at the store. She, nor the pharma-tech, even bother to look at me. I wave like "hello" and say: "Hi, I just need to pick up my prescription" as Randa prints out the docs for the lady. She rudely says: "I'm taking care of the woman ahead of you, she was here first." And goes about doing what she was doing. Umm, yeah, I understand she was there first but that's NOT the best or most effecient way to handle customers. There was NOBODY ELSE IN LINE at the pharmacy. It was just me. The phones weren't ringing. There was no queue. It's a tiny store pharmacy and literally, out of the dozens of times I've been there -- I've never seen people use this pharmacy until today. So it's not like they're slammed from what I can see. In a normal functioning, customer service-oriented place, the tech or pharmacist would have at least asked the next customer what they needed to assess what needed to be done next. AT THE VERY LEAST SAY SOMETHING GENERIC LIKE "I'll be right with you." Had Randa done that, she would've gotten rid of me in literally 30 seconds because I had already called to confirm if my script was ready. But nope. Randa decided to be condescending and rude even while she was ringing me up. She chose to make a customer 1)wait unnecessarily 2)without even any acknowledgement 3)and didn't even bother to tell me how much was due, as it didn't show up on the screen on my end. I had to move the transaction along. She gave off this air of superiority, as if she was doing me a favor by even existing and like she delighted in knowing she was in control of my time, seeing as she basically had my script hostage. There was nothing else I could do - so she opted to treat me that way. I will ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER AGAIN use this pharmacy. Randa was the worst and clearly did not care about helping, didn't ask if I had any questions about the prescriptions, nothing. After she stapled the receipt to my script bag...she literally just walked away without saying a word.

The manager of this establishment, Christian clearly has no care whatsoever as to what his employees do, or do not do. I spent two hours trying to contact the pharmacy with no answer, and his response was to say leave a message on a message machine that doesn’t take messages, worthless scum do not come here.

Update: 11/26/2023Still the best Safeway to me!3/30/2021The Safeway at Rose Hill Shopping Center is my favorite Safeway. It's always clean, stocked, ans well maintained.The workers are always friendly, courteous, helpful, and polite.The produce department always looks appealing with fresh colorful fruits and vegetables.There Clearance section had a variety of items for 50 % off. They had a lot of dog food (bag), dog toys, Yerba bottled teas, club soda, eye drops for dry eyes, (I got those), Aloe water, and 12 oz bags of Peacan and Walnuts.Thus Safeway has a decent public bathroom.
