I was just in Om Tibet today. As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed immediately by a kind and gentle presence. I don’t remember her name (the owner’s wife). The place itself and all the beautiful gems there felt sacred and full of reverence. I wanted to stay longer but needed to head home. If I’m ever in the Alexandria, VA area again, I will make sure to stop by Om Tibet. I am deeply grateful for this magical place and send infinite blessings that this shop may flourish for the benefit of many, many beings.

Absolutely love this store. The folks that work here are so nice. There are often good deals if you buy a few pieces. Also, I feel like their stones and crystals are all genuine. I’ve always had great luck with what I purchase here.

A wonderful tiny shop in the middle of Old Town Alexandria!
My daughter and I came upon this interesting place while walking down King Street and thankfully decided to step in and take a look. The employee was kind, helpful, and patient answering questions on various stones and gems, and in allowing us to browse around. We ended up buying a bunch of small items and found that the prices are very fair and even low for the value received.
If one is interested in natural healing items, or in Tibetan handicrafts, spiritual, and healing items, then this place should be high on one's list.

Norbu is tibetan and has a lot of connections with authentic himalayan artists. If you want one of a kind artisanal jewelry made by genuine himalayan artists infused with spiritual energy, it is the place to go. He is also a really nice guy.

The owner of the shop is the kindest man you will ever meet. He is so patient when helping you choose a piece you will love. He loves to share his Tibetan culture with you and its shopping in his store is an experience in and of itself. 10/10 visit.

I gave it a neutral rating because I wasn't able to go in to the store recently. It was annoying that there's no way to talk to anyone by phone, but I kept the rating neutral. I'd been in the store years ago and liked it.
I tried to call in advance to ensure they had the beads I wanted, but they don't list a phone number for the store. I tracked down a number but got no answer. I never got a reply from the voicemail I left. That number had a generic intro voicemail message, so maybe it didn't belong to the store
The first time I recently tried, it was coincidently Tibetan New Year, and they were closed. Ok, I can handle that. I really wanted to give my money to a brick and mortar store and not Amazon, so I tried again. The next day, I drove the 25 minutes to get to the store, and they were closed again. Granted, I got there 15 minutes before google said they closed. Maybe Google was wrong; maybe someone got sick and had to close. Both of these situations could have been prevented if there was a number to call.
I drove farther and went to Burke Gems & Beads. They had the Tibetan beads I needed to finish my bracelet. The woman there was friendly, they had good beads, and all ended well. Yippee!
However, I would have liked the chance to go inside Om Tibet
