This was a one and done (meaning one year and never again). Maintenance at this gym is atrocious...took 6 weeks to get them to fix the men's bathroom upstairs (stalls were not closing and locking. Equipment is outdated and needs maintenance and yet despite repeated requests...nothing gets done. Seriously...why should I pay $85 per month when it takes so much complaining for maintenance to be completed. Maybe its just this location...but very disappointed.

Club in general is as average as any gym. However, Jennifer, the GM provides exceptional customer service and has some of the best energy I've ever encountered in a gym. Kudos for making a visitor feeling "at home" in your gym.

Have been going here for about a year, it’s a typical gym, with decent variety of cardio and weightlifting equipment. Guest passes are not included in membership and to bring a guest costs $30 for the day, which feels pretty scammy. Only gym I’ve been to that not only does not include guest passes, but charges an egregious amount. If not for that ridiculous policy i’d rate this place higher.

Gym is just OK. When you cancel they will still bill you for the next full calendar month after cancellation. Very greedy.

This location is awesome. Lowkey. And clean. Lamont was super friendly at the front desk. Recommend checking this gym out if you live in old town or are just visiting DC, Arlington, Alexandria.

I want to thank Jennifer, LaNia, and trainer Mawra for a great experience at Onelife Fitness - Old Town Alexandria. The facilities are clean and top-of-the-line. The team clearly explains equipment use to members. The location is ideal, with easy parking and access to walking/free shuttle busses along with cafes, a park, art galleries, and shopping post-workout. Membership may include discounted spa services and a personal trainer consult, which I really enjoyed. The locker facilities, sauna, and recovery areas with chargers for phones/tablets are luxurious. I ended my membership due to a move out of the area (about 25-30 miles away). The team made that process seamless as well, while making sure that I was aware of other club locations. I will definitely look into returning in the future!

I have two great trainers, Jenn Foster and Winston Smith, who are helping me a lot. The gym is clean and the equipment is good. I am thoroughly satisfied.

Ever since that I had moved back to the area a few weeks ago, I have been coming to this gym. It's quite expansive with three levels of space for people to workout. My best guess is that the have around 30 treadmills, and an great number of other cardio type equipment. The location is ideal for me, and I also like the hours that they are open. I work really hard to get here every other day at right around 5:30am. I think weekends they open slightly later. For me it's always best to get the workout completed first thing in the morning, because later on in the day or after work, there wouldn't be a chance for me to workout. My workout always starts out with a 20 minute run followed by a small break. After that I head on over to the incline bench to do 4 sets of 14 presses. Then I spend some time working the biceps, and shoulders. Finally I will always pass time with their abdominal machine. My whole routine lasts for less than one hour, and it's enough for me at this stage. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone!

Onelife Fitness in Alexandria, Virginia is an outstanding fitness center that exceeds expectations. The welcoming staff, impeccable cleanliness, and availability of exceptional trainers make every visit a delight. The spacious and well-maintained locker room adds convenience, while the well-designed equipment ensures a stress-free workout. Though the upstairs bathroom could use some improvement, Onelife Fitness remains an great choice for an exceptional fitness experience. In addition to the top-notch gym facilities, Onelife Fitness also offers a variety of group fitness classes including yoga, HIIT, and strength training. These classes provide a fun and motivating environment to work out alongside fellow members and push yourself to new levels of fitness. My only wish is that they had an elliptical glider.

Onelife Fitness Old Town (formerly Sports & Health) is the kind of place that will get you addicted to working out.THE FACILITIES - This gym has ample male and female changing rooms with bathrooms and showers, together with number-coded cabinets where you can safely keep your belongings while exercising. The main equipment level has all-round windows with one side giving an awesome vista of the Potomac river. Equipment include free-weights, machines for the whole body, rubber bands, mats, treadmills, ellipticals, and stationary bikes--all in sufficient number for there never to be a wait time. This level also includes ample carpeted space for stretching and mat-work. One level below there are hardwood-flored, mirrored studio rooms dedicated to such group classes as Pilates, Body-Pump and more. The ground floor has the aforementioned changing rooms, as well as the reception and a well-stocked vending area with protein drinks and other goodies. All spaces are kept spotless by round the clock cleaning staff.THE CLASSES - One of my favorite things about this gym is the variety of classes they offer--both in terms of types and of schedule. Classes include Body-Pump, yoga, Pilates, body-combat, dance, cycling, core, zumba and more. Class times run from early morning to late afternoon, so regardless of one's schedule it's easy to find a convenient slot. Teachers--I have experience with a variety of them--are unfailingly nice and energetic. All classes (as of this writing) are offered at no surcharge.PERSONAL TRAINING - Even with all the positives I have just mentioned, the highlight for me would have to be the personal training offered. I am signed up for one 1/2hr weekly session and after a year I have never been stronger and fitter. The space here is not sufficient for me to extol all the many virtues of my amazing personal trainer, but suffice it to say that I look forward to my session as a challenging and fun weekly highlight. The other trainers that I have seen also seem motivating, energetic, caring, and highly competent. There is a surcharge for this option, but to me it's absolutely worth it.OTHER - As others have mentioned, the gym has an adjacent parking lot, and will validate. Free parking on the street is also available and the rare times that I drive there (I live at walking distance) I have never failed to find a spot. Bear in mind, though, it is on the North edge of Old Town Alexandria, so streets are occasionally full. Communication is great, with a phone app that lets you register for classes, and emails keeping you up to speed with what's happening at the gym, as well as sending you reminders about your schedule. Lastly, membership prices are comparable to other local gyms like the YMCA.BOTTOM LINE - I couldn't be more satisfied. Good job. I never fail to be greeted with a smile and a courteous word, and attending Onelife Fitness Old Town has become a highlight of my (almost) daily routine.

Clean and well equipped. The staff is great and goes the extra mile to help out with any problems. And excellent yoga programs by Chuck!

It's very very hard to get out from the membership. You need proof of changed or residence (last bank statement or something really hard) or a note from your doctor. If you don't do it in a time frame. You still have to pay 3 month and then try again. DO NOT SIGN WITH THEM AT LEAST YOU ARE REALLY COMMITTED TO STAY WITH THE FOREVER.

The Old Town S&H club is absolutely perfect. As a result, I've been a member for several years. The management and staff are very knowledgeable, professional and yet friendly. The classes are the best. The club is clean and well-kept. The members are nice people. And location really is everything. It's a wonderful gym and much more!

Clean and big. Friendly and helpful staff. Some of the equipment like the treadmills is just slightly out of date, but still works fine.
