Hourly parking nearby, so it’s great because I go to school in NC. People were friendly.I came in for a notebook. Found a nice Kate Spade one on sell. $13 usually $20.Also bought a hydroflask on sale $20, usually $50. Starbucks is inside.I have zero knowledge of textbooks. I just looked up bookstores and found this one. It’s a Barnes and Noble.

0 stars. I’ve been a long time student at NVCC as I’ve collected different degrees throughout the years and this bookstore has the worst customer service of all campuses. The staff has dismissive attitudes & are of little to no help. The last 3 semesters have been miserable to where a review is much warranted. A couple instances really left a bad taste in my mouth which need to be addressed by a supervisor. First instance: I was able to purchase a backpack through my aid online for in store pick up. I included a water bottle that was listed online in the bookstore portion. When I picked up my order, one of the senior staff members took my water bottle out of my already packed order and said that it doesn’t cover. I questioned her how is that possible since staff already packed up my order and why is the backpack included but not the matching water bottle, she stated I could get a new backpack as many times as I wanted but it does not include the water bottle because it was on the “spirit” side of the store. This is false because the water bottle was listed on the bookstore section online. I was also charged for it as well. While I’m asking her the genuine question she is walking away from the register and putting the item back on the shelf dismissively. I never received a refund for the water bottle. I had a family member with me who witnessed this and was equally appalled at the attitude of this young lady. Second instance: I ordered a Cengage MindTap subscription that was required by my class. The professor did not list their class attached to the program. I spent two days on the phone with support from all possible departments, including cengage. While this was not an issue specifically with the bookstore, I am disappointed that the staff was unhelpful. I was told by the bookstore to come into the store for them to straighten it out. I drove an hour to the store for the same young lady as before that they could not help me despite being told to come into the bookstore. The last instance that was the straw that broke the camels back was most recently, I ordered my textbook for class and with the snow it took a week for the book to arrive. I drove 1.5 hr in traffic and snow to pick up the book since at this point assignments were due, I arrive exactly 5 minute before they close and the door was already locked. The man/woman staff member saw me at the door and refused to open it. It was a absolute waste of my time and wrong for them to close early. With all of this being said, I have resorted to paying extra to have my books delivered because it is much easier than having to deal with this bookstore staff.

NOVA college is awesome but the book store is the worst. I just bought a book from book store then I wanted to return it in about less than 24 hours, but they rejected and they said, “this is our policy because classes started 2 weeks ago, and it doesn’t matter when you bought the book ”What a ridiculous and unfair policy. I will never buy anything from them.

Process for online textbook pick up was straight forward. Ring bell, provide ID, order number and box number. The rating is regarding the hours. I work 10 hour days and by the time I'm off the bookstore is closed or when I do want to pick up they are closed that day. I had to take off work early to pick up textbook. It would be nice to have at least a day (or half day) on the weekend for us to pick up. On Monday they close at 6 PM, but still too late due to rush hour traffic. This is the ONLY campus for those who are taking online classes too. Please listen to the feedback and help us out. Thank you.

Very unprofessional and unethical service, better word would be to call them scammers selling items with high price and when you want to return they accuse you that you have used items or damaged them even though the box is not opened or the same way you purchased it. I bought some items they didn't wanted to to return and the biggest issue was with laptop purchase they sell it but when you want to return even though it was not opened they didn't accepted it after using had some issues and wanted to return and upgrade it but they send me to go through third party which is impossible to do. Please please do not purchase from them use Amazon or any other stores. And they are extremely rude!!!!!!

Don't expect any help when giving this bookstore a call. Apparently being behind a desk is a very busy job they can't pick up their phones

Please do not follow the required recommend text books shopping online. I bought a econ access code online for 90 dollars because it said it was mandatory for my class, it was not. I went back to return and they were not helpful at all saying I needed to use it for my class when my professor said I do not need it and he does not use that. The store could of given me a refund knowing that it was mistake and only reason I purchased was because it said required, however they decided to just let it go to waste and not give me a refund.... Please be aware of the recommendations for textbook for classes, you may not need and end up wasting money! Also the bookstore is over priced. I bought a rice Krispie bar for 5.50!

A little pricey, but has the odds and ends that you will need for class, along with textbooks, flashcards, etc.

The campus is very nice, parking is great if you get there early! The bookstore is very small. I picked up one of the items I needed for class and even though I had a confirmation for it, it took them a while to find it.
