Rick and Ron did a wonderful, professional job framing some historical documents for me. They look great and now will be well-preserved for later generations. It's also nice that Rick has a deep appreciation for history, making him a pleasure to work with.

I stumbled upon Museum Framing from a Google search. Seeing a framer with perfect five-star reviews was astonishing, so I decided to call Rick. After speaking with Rick, I was assured he was the right man for the job. I brought in the historical documents that needed to be restored and preserved, and Rick blew me away. He did such a great job, and everyone loved the framing job. Hand down work with Rick. You will not regret it. He offers fair prices and is always down to get a drink at Starbucks with you if he has the time.

Rick is awesome. When we lived in Alexandria, I brought a range of pieces to him over a period of years, and he always provided expert and considerate guidance on frames and materials that worked within our budget and were appropriate to the works. He also facilitated the restoration of a much loved print that had been badly treated by another framer. Highest recommendation.

This review is LONG overdue, but in 2018 I purchased two pieces - an early 19th century engraving of George Washington and a WW2 war bond poster - which given their age and fragility, needed to be handled with the gentlest of touch and looked after with ultimate care. I wanted to keep them safe and protected in museum quality frames and after an exhaustive search I stumbled upon Rick and I'm glad I did! He kept me updated and involved every step of the way, allowing me to give my input, and sending pictures of the works in progress. From start to finish I felt confident my pieces were in the best of hands. Timely service and delivery in the highest quality packaging. The entire process was smooth and easy. I'm in the market for more pieces and the first person I thought of was Rick. I wouldn't trust anybody else - thank you Rick!

Rick is incredibly passionate about his work, and charges very reasonable prices for museum/archival-quality custom frames! He's done six frames for me so far, and I always recommend him to friends in the market. Plenty of quality materials to choose from. Responsive service, excellent work, and solid prices. What's not to like?

Rick was great. I was looking to reframe a family heirloom. I was specific about what I wanted and preservation was important to me. Rick was the only framer who said that he could take on my project. Other framers in the area said it would be too difficult. Not only that Rick had the expertise and awareness to help suggest additional touches that made my piece look better and that will help it last longer. He was great about communicating about the specifics of the order. I was also pleased about the turn around time of the order. I will be back to see Rick for all my future framing needs.

We had some antique lithographs we wanted framed and looked for the most highly qualified framer in the area. Rick had the experience and great reviews, so we met with him to discuss options. We knew what we wanted in terms of framing style and mat color, but Rick guided us to the perfect match. Because things are still crazy during the pandemic, there was a slight delay in getting the moulding. But Rick was tenacious, making several calls until he met with success. The job was done beautifully, to perfection, and the lithographs are a wonderful addition in our home. Special thanks to Ron, too, for his skill in putting things together!

Found an antique print in my attic that has been in our family for years, but needed some TLC. I noticed the great reviews this shop got and went to check it out. I was extremely impressed by the knowledge of the shop owner. He told me lots about the print that I didn’t know. The repairs were done in a little over a week and he offered a fair price. He did very professional work (the frame looked as good as new) and would recommend to anyone with antique frames or art. This guy can do anything. I have a few more things I plan on bringing by and he will have my framing business as long as I am still in the area.

I can't recommend Rick's shop enough. Professionals like Rick are becoming more and more rare, in the era of big box chain framing stores. The quality, craftsmanship, artistry, and customer service cannot be matched anywhere else. Rick did such an incredible job with helping me put together a frame to honor my beloved dog who recently passed away and the bow ties that he used to wear. It was Rick's design and I am over the moon in love with this piece. I will cherish it forever. This frame will remind me of my beloved Buford forever and will always make me smile. Thank you again Rick!
