Brought my car in when it was making noise to be looked at. Without looking at it, 3 different employees told me it was the brakes. I have had break issues in the past and knew this wasn't the issue, but was mansplained repeatedly and my concerns were ignored. After wasting 2 hours of my day having the brakes fixed, I left with a car that was still making the exact noise that I brought it in for and was told by the employee that it may actually be the tires and that I should bring it back in another time. Took it somewhere else and had wheel bearings and a hubcap replaced. Now there is no noise. It is amazing what you can figure out if you actually take the time to look. Unprofessional and lazy employees. Will not be back and do not reccommend.

I could not start my car last week. I called Eric at mini cooper. He made some suggestions for me - one was to call tow truck. My roadside assistance ran out last year. He said he would be waiting for my car to come in. The tow company came and jump started my car so I could drive it to mini. Eric waited for me to come in. He explained replacing the battery which was a complicated procedure to take out and program new battery - that was not good news! That was much too much! He held a loaner car for me and said he got the cost down to $517. Eric made the process easy and a relief for me to get it done.

My Service Rep, Jairo Z is the BEST!! He always takes the time to listen to my car problems or request and makes sure the Job Is Done Right!! The MINI of Alexandria lounge and service facilities are always clean and their service and sales staff are always cordial. The clincher is the vacuum and wash service after every service. There’s nothing like a well serviced and Clean MINI :-)

Drove 2 plus hours to not get taken seriously. Mike was not only short with me but was unwilling to negotiate and take a refundable deposit for a 27.5 k cash sale. Car had body damage not in pictures and clear coat peeling. Look elsewhere.Edit: in response to your response..The price and condition of the car do not equate. It was more about the disrespectful manner in which I was treated. I was willing to pay cash and purchase the car. Luckily I found a more reputable dealer that was willing to get me a better car any lower price.

I first contacted Passport Mini this year on May 3, and talked to Todd Bartnicki. We have been texting, e-mailing,and phone calling all summer ,and finally the right car came in September 1. Todd could not have been more friendly and helpful in the process. He treated me like I was the only customer he had. Immediate response to any concern or questions. I had the car delivered September 22. I only wish I could have come to Passport personally to thank Todd for all he did to make this happen.I would giveTodd a 10 out of 10 , A+, and 150% for his exceptional service and integrity. My whole Mini of Alexandria experience has been a good one.

complete scam. Beware.Brought a 2023 Mini Cooper S in for state inspection and scheduled service in June. With 14k miles on the car we were told they would fail our inspection if we didn't get brand mrw brakes.Got new brakes and the car has sqeaked and had a grinding noise since. Finally get a chance to come back today. The noise is related to a "mini reccomended" removal of a piece part of a fender that is rubbing on the tire. Totally coincindental that is started the same day we got new brakes. Sure Jan, real likely. On top of that, we goofed on the inspection sticker and need a mew one, which requires a nrw inspection. Ok, fine. Now the car needs wiper blades or they will fail inspection. Right, wiper blades suddenly went bad between inspections during a summer with a car that is kept in a garage amd driven fewer than 10 miles a day. Sure, JanFunny how it's always, and only, the wear and tear items that need replacing, and its always with a threat of a "failed inspection."Never trust this service shop. They will always find something wrong to charge you for. This is our second mini and because there is no other dealer or service shop close, it will be our last.

Of all my car purchases ever, this by far was the absolute best car purchasing experience I've ever had. From my initial contact via email the salesman, Yves was friendly, professional, and understanding. Yves located a vehicle in transit which fit exactly what my wife wanted and built via the website, a 2024 mini Cooper. It was priced better than any dealer from the DMV all the way down to Richmond (even beat Costco partnership pricing) with no haggle (below MSRP and lower than KBB, Edmund, and car and driver pricing). I didn't believe dealerships like this existed. I'm extremely frugal and was in awe. The gentleman wrapping up the sale for us, (Kermit) was personable and thorough as well as professional. Everything went speedy (in a good way) and was full of genuine conversations, like we'd known each other for years. Thank you Mini of Alexandria team??!

I have owned two mini’s, most recently a 2014 Cooper S that I bough brand new. Today I went to Passport Mini of Alexandria to test drive a new JCW, because I’m in the market for a new car, and was told that unless I was going to buy it I wasn’t allowed to test drive it. I’m not sure about anyone else but I want to test drive a car before I decide if I want to buy it. Let’s be clear I wasn’t looking to put 20 or even 10 miles on it, but I did want to see how it felt. I walked out and won’t be back.

On August 26, my husband and I stopped at Mini of Alexandria as we are starting the process toward a new vehicle. My husband has owned two Mini's previously - a Mini Cooper and a Mini Cooper S. Given I have not owned a Mini nor driven one, and that my husband wanted to experience a new JCW, this was intended to be a research trip for us. Upon arrival, we were greeted and asked if we could test drive a JCW model. We were handed off to an associate who informed us that Mini of Alexandria only allows test drives for people "ready to buy." The associate then went to, "discuss with a manager," and returned where he reiterated that they would not allow for a test drive unless we were prepared to buy the car. He then began to explain that the reason was to keep miles on the car low. We left mid-sentence as it was clear Mini of Alexandra was going to be unobliging. This "policy" is also inconsistent. In the winter of 2021 at the same dealership my husband (without me) test drove a Mini. At that time, our respective employers delayed our return to the office and we held off on purchasing a second car.Fast forward to both working back in the office. In the past year, we have purchased *two* new cars -- one of which was on a Saturday where, "let's take a look" turned into a purchase. That particular vehicle was sitting in a dealer show room; they had to take the car out of the building for us to test drive and accompanied us on the drive. It resulted in a sale and they took extra steps to move a car outside without us having to commit to anything upfront. At Mini of Alexandria, we weren't looking to take the car to Richmond or some extended test drive. It was, again, intended to be an opportunity for me to drive a Mini having never done so. It honestly feels like the associate did not want to be bothered to assist us and instead, found a reason to refuse us service. Given our treatment, we will go out of our way to not return.

On August 25 I scheduled routine service on my 2013 JWC Roadster August 18 for 07:30 AM. I arrived at the service center at 07:28 and was promptly helped by Carlos. I told Carlos that I had a warning indicator showing my car on a lift and that my battery warning indicator flashed. I also informed him that I needed my car by 3:00 PM. He informed me that he would be in touch if there were any issues. Around 2:00 PM I called Carlos, and he told me the technician had just put my car on the lift (7 hours after dropping it off) and he would let me know the status. Not hearing from him I started to the dealer at 3:00 PM thinking that it would be ready; while in route I received a call from Carlos letting me know that my car needed new wiper blades and a battery plus another $3,000.00 worth or repairs and that it would not be ready until the next day. I asked why if I had an appointment and dropped the car off at 7:30 in the morning it was not ready...He told me that they take those customers who are waiting for their cars first then the customers who made appointments. Why would they have you make an appointment if they were going to take those who walked in the door an opted to wait for their car jump the line?I purchased the car from this dealer in 2013 and in the 10 years I've been taking my car there for service all except once I have had nothing but crap service and excuses from them. The next closest Mini dealer is 35 miles away, once I get my car back with just the wiper blades and battery replaced, I will never, and I repeat never return to this shoddy piece of dog excrement dealership/service department again.Avoid Alexandria Mini like it is the plague.

My service advisor Eric was absolutely great. The dealer really took care of me and my Mini. This was my first time at the dealer and I am now a new customer, leaving the dealer I’ve used since I purchased the car 11 years ago.

Appointment times for service are meaningless, there are no loaner cars. This is the third time I've made an appointment to be told they won't be able to look at it for several days. Just say "drop it off anytime". This is also the 3rd year running with no loaner cars. Only have one car? Welp, hope you can take a week off work.
