Shopped at several stores before finding this gem of a store. We were treated like family from the moment we entered the store. They took their time showing us a multitude of oriental rugs and explaining the quality. After we narrowed our choices to 3 rugs- they brought the 3 rugs to our house so we could decide which one was best. The visit to our house consisted of 2 family members that worked at the store and the owner himself. After deciding on a rug the owner also included a thank you gift of a small oriental rug for a doorway. On top of that- he offered us a complimentary meal at a Kabob Restaurant he owns in Alexandria. BTW: the meal was fantastic and he met us at the restaurant. We really felt like we were family. 5 star rating for sure for Marco Polo

Exceedingly more than we expected for our first rug buying experience. They have some of the most beautiful rugs we have ever seen anywhere and the piece that we ending up choosing was at truly one of a kind Afghan piece! Excellent experience from start to finish and great customer service. They really made us feel like family. Thank you Abdullah.

This is an A+ gem of a shop. I found my dream Kilim rug here at an affordable price. I'm so glad I waited to purchase until I met Abdullah Khaja and his team. This is the real deal. Some companies claim to have a Kilim from Afghanistan and may sell you a substitute--and at sky rocketing prices. Abdullah is trustworthy, the service is impeccable and its a small business and not a big company. You can't go wrong with this shop. I plan to shop again. The pix below doesn't do justice to this gorgeous hand-made rug.

The owner is a really personable and friendly guy. Hes been in business for over 18 years and has a lot of experience dealing with rugs and carpets. They just relocated to this new location. They have a large collection of Oriental rugs. Definitely recommend the place.

Marco Polo Oriental Rugs has one of the best and largest selection of handmade rugs across the nation! Since moving to the area, we stopped by and were able to find a Tabriz and Kazak that fit both our taste and budget! Mr. Abdullah was able to deliver our rugs to our home and we will be getting the rest of our rugs cleaned and appraised through them. Thank you!!!

I’ve shopped for rugs around the world especially in the Middle East. Abdullah has a collection in his shop that has something for everyone! Truly amazing. He is the nicest and most respectful person you could ever meet. Willing to barter and make a fair price. Hospitality well above the norm. His nephew was also very helpful as we picked through rugs. We bought 4 beautiful rugs and was just going out of curiosity. For rugs this place is vast! Perfect way to spend a few hours!Thanks Abdullah!!

We bought three beautiful rugs from Marco Polo this weekend and couldn’t be happier with the pieces. The selection and service are excellent, but what really stood out was the hospitality. Abdullah, the owner, was so friendly and offered us food from his nearby Afghan restaurant, Kabul Kabob, which warmed our hearts. A+
