It’s been 7 years that I have membership in this gym but today I saw unprofessional and disrespect person who was behind the front desk and when I used my number he said the payment is not done yet I told him it’s on automatic payment it will go but he was rude and disrespectful at all and told me it’s not allowed to go in if this is the management rules and regulations it’s much better that we change our membership to another I have many of my friends here whom I recommend them if this kind of behavior will be continued we will take our decision hope the management and manger teach this kind of people how to respect and how to deal with their membership holders
Even I asked him let me talk to your manager but he refused anyway hope the management of this LA fitness teach this person

The LA Fitness in Alexandria was decent when I joined almost a year ago. Honestly, it was subpar compared to One Life Fitness, but I moved away for my “home” gym and the one closest to me no longer had a pool. Even with the reviews of lack of management and the stuck in the 80s high school style locker room, I thought it can’t be that bad. Well, that was all bearable until recently. As of the last three weeks the gym has gone from the advertised 5am to 11pm openings during which you can use the pool a half hour after opening up to a half hour before closing to the most random pool availability hours. Each time I go there is a new piece of paper taped to the door with hours. No email to members, no info on the app, no info on the website. 5 out of 6 times I have missed the window. Opens at 9am one day, closed at 6pm another, closed all together another. When I finally asked yesterday, the guy at the reception desk said it’s based on one of the employees work schedule. Great. Well how do I know how to plan around that?! And it would be nice if the “Updated Pool Hours” said they would continue to change in no methodical pattern. I am going to cancel my membership from the joke of a gym that has been taking my money for things I can’t actually use. I wish I had known before August started, but now I’ve already paid for this month and they make you pay for your last month up front. So essentially they have stolen 2 months of my money. I can’t believe it’s legal for them to operate that way. They have a cancellation policy clad in stone in the member contract but conveniently nothing about what they are required to offer to members. I would think consistent hours and adequate notice should be required… What a scam!

I really enjoy this gym however their management isn’t that great.
I’m a swimmer and I come in just for swimming, they change the pool schedule almost weekly without advance notice. Very inconvenient.
Please keep the pool open especially in the morning (to avoid crowding)
The pool gets really packed you can’t swim.
They close the pool so often and I don’t understand why, there’s no life guard and more often than not I’d see stuff floating in the water.

Managers literally scammed me and lied that they canceled my membership only so next month i get another charger and they all pretend they k ow nothing about it.

Equipment is decent, although a lot of things I used to use at my old gym are missing and nearly everything is taken all the time. Staff is a bit unfriendly-some of them won’t even say hi at the front desk and then every five minutes before they close, they flash the lights several times. I get they want to get people’s attention who have earbuds, but seems a bit extra. Weights are always, always out all over the place and every bar always has plates on it that someone got up and left without unracking. It becomes annoying to have to clean up after someone else every time before I use something. They should do better at enforcing this or have staff put things away. Over all, not the worst gym I’ve been to, but room for improvement.
