Air conditioner seemed to not work well even though they fixed it.

Staff was friendly, and the room was comfortable. I had all the moder amenities that you wanted in a hotel but in the beautiful setting of old town Alexandria right on the main street, just steps from restaurants, art galleries and shops.

Great service, very clean and comfortable, with nice finishing touches in the rooms.
Also impressively tasty food in their attached restaurant
Walkability: Within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and cute boutiques down the road

Used to stay here when it was a Kimpton, but it had been a while. On the whole, a very pleasant place to stay if you love Old Town as I, a former resident, do.
Couple knocks: Hot water took forever to get to the bathroom faucet and shower, the latter of which had mediocre pressure. And one would think the $25 drink + dine credit is for each night of one's stay, as such a credit would be anywhere else I've stayed in the U.S., but after the stay I was informed it's not. Had we known that we wouldn't have ordered drinks the 2nd night to not waste what we thought was a credit. Quite a distance from the nightly Kimpton happy hour I was used to here!
The room was spacious, quiet, AC was limitless, and bed was comfortable. Minifridge always essential to me.
You're two blocks from a CVS and a Whole Foods, which is handy.
Uber drivers can get a bit confused by how to pull up.

Very efficient when it comes to can you put up for tonight? Love the place. There are things that they can work on things get better with time.
Rooms: Only available when available.
Nearby activities: Food assessable due to transportation nearby such as McDonald’s Popeyes Uber eats bikes and trails that you can travel to get food, cigarettes and others far far ass vape shop food shop, steakhouse, more and more.
Safety: Safety due to your own wrist.
Walkability: Walkable, rideable scooters bikes, cars, buses.
Food and drinks: There are food and drinks around, not there. They are upgrading as we speak.
Noteworthy details: On who the people.

This is a nice hotel. It's on the wrong end of King Street to be considered convenient, but the room was very nice. The towels were really nice. And the bed was solid. It has an adequate restaurant on property, so that made it very nice for us to not have to go anywhere for the evening. We used it as an anniversary spot to get away for the evening.
Rooms: Nice room. Great towels. And a firm bed
Walkability: Is walkable to the metro. But not to the rest of what King Street has to offer in my opinion

This is a great find. Located 2 blocks from Metro and within walking distance to great restaurants and shops in Old Town. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the service is outstanding.

WOW. We stayed here for our wedding night/weekend and I cannot express how much I loved this place. The hotel restaurant? Amazing. Front desk service? Wow. Location? Convenient.
Nikko at the front desk was the highlight staff for us. Even gave me a personal charger after I couldn’t find mine the morning after our wedding and coordinated with us when there were lost items left behind! Our room felt like a penthouse it was amazing. Highly recommend.

Great location in Old Town Alexandria! Within walking distance to the metro, which is so convenient, as well as many shops, cafes and restaurants. The rooms are very nice with comfortable bedding and big windows. Rooms are also very clean! Staff at the hotel are courteous and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

I am not one to write a post for every establishment I visit. However, with the level of service that I received, hospitality and great attention to detail that Ashley P. provided I felt I must. Ashley, thank you for turning around what could have been an unpleasant and uncomfortable situation. You are the Staple and The Benchmark for what customer service is missing and should be. Thank you to the entire staff for making me and my pups feel welcome and at home. My fur babies loved The Gourmet Treats!! A special shout-out to my guys working valet, restaurant and tasting room.. you are not forgotten and you are the staple of what holds everything together.. thank you for all you do the scene, unseen and unspoken. ?
How can I not return!

Had high hopes based on online reviews, initial texts to greet me, and valet service. Waited 15 minutes as the only person at the checkin desk while staff addressed valet, online, and took calls. Asked for local restaurant recommendations and got pointed to their limited menu restaurant as our only option. Got to our room, which was street view vs courtyard, as booked. Later learned they hold $75 per day for incidentals (credit not debit), though they do not disclose this at the time of checkin like most hotels do. Attempted to go to the hotel restaurant for breakfast both mornings, and there was no staff to greet or seat us. On our final day, they changed ownership resulting in mass confusion, as staff was clearly not properly prepared for complete outage of all systems. Guests received no notice that the “amenities” behind the outrageous $26.95 amenity fee would be inaccessible for the day. I’ve been to resorts in Hawaii with pools and expansive grounds and amenities that didn’t charge this! I can attest to other reviews of foul smells.
Staff made promises they failed to keep. Charged for multiple nights of parking when advised at checkin and valet that we would only have a car one night. Cap that with multiple attempts across several channels to rectify overcharged amounts, my only positive was we were comfortable & safe in our room. VERY poor value for the offering. Would never book with them again, especially under new management which clearly lacks in planning, communication and customer service! Look elsewhere…. (PS: this is my first experience in decades of travel where I’ve felt obligated to leave a candid review for the benefit of other travelers. I promise I submitted online and attempted to connect with hotel staff personally before posting online. I have email evidence and call logs.)

Best Spa in Alexandria! Friendly staff, top notch services and the spa quality is above & beyond. I want to see what it will look like as the Archer Hotel.

The service was absolutely great. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. The location of this hotel is very quaint. The cobblestone street with many locally owned shops was refreshing vs being in the heart of DC.
