I have been very disappointed with the customer service I received during my last appliance purchase. The experience left me extremely frustrated and with the full knowledge that Home Depot does not have the customer's best interest in mind. Due to the situation, I am returning the appliance and I will never purchase another product from Home Depot again.

Home Depot in Alexandria you have the BEST employees! I've been back and forth to this store for the past few weeks gathering supplies for my remodel. Lillian in the paint department was very helpful in assisting me with my paint colors. She made sure I bought the CORRECT base paint to mix with the colors I picked out for my home. Lawrence (gentleman in the pictures) assisted me EVERY time (and I mean EVERY TIME) I purchased items that needed to be put in my vehicle. And EVERY TIME he serviced with a smile (just look at the pictures). Lawrence is so attentive, respectful and helpful. He made sure the items I purchased were put safely in my vehicle to be transported! THANK YOU LAWRENCE!! And thank you Home Depot Alexandria for hiring such great employees who know the meaning of customer service!

The workers took a long time to come around to help us. It was pretty empty in there. Was a decent location. Was clean. One of the store workers gave my shopping companion a little attitude when we were asking for assistance. Not the best but not the worst location.

Reagan, you were absolutely amazing with helping me with my order! You could of just answered my questions, but you went above and beyond: you called the shipping center, stayed on the line with them and ensured you got me squared away. Because there's no survey, I definitely made sure to call back and tell your supervisor Cody, that you are amazing!!! Thank you again and I hope you see this just so you know what you do is appreciated.

I made the mistake of ordering a dishwasher from Home Depot. To get a new dishwasher in a reasonable time, I compromised on the specific model. When the men came to install it, they claimed our cut-off valve was bad. This was simply wrong. It was a chrome-plated brass valve that had been doing its job with the old dishwasher perfectly. They said it was "plastic" and refused to install the new machine without our getting a new one. Although this was a red flag, I went along to get the dishwasher installation done. That cost us another day waiting. The plumbers finally came and changed out the valve. They said nothing about the valve being "plastic", but claimed it didn't fully shut off the water. However, they forgot to turn on the new valve, so our old dishwasher wouldn't work until we identified the problem. After several days a new group of installers arrived with the new dishwasher. But they soon discovered it had been damaged in shipment and wasn't worth installing. So we had to wait for another dishwasher to be delivered. After more waiting, a replacement dishwasher arrived, and it was installed by a different team. After completing the job, they started it for a test run, then departed. The washer ran for about an hour, but then stopped mid-cycle with water still in the tub. That was the last straw! Home Depot couldn't send out a warrantee replacement until next week, and a repairman couldn't come until even longer, another week. Now I've given up with Home Depot, and ordered a replacement from another dealer, one that is actually more like what I really wanted in the first place. I'm not dealing with Home Depot again for appliances! Update: The installer of the replacement dishwasher identified the problem with the one from Home Depot: The Home Depot installer improperly installed it, causing it to short out. He showed me the wires that had overheated and fused together where the washer connected to the house wiring!

THE ABSOLUTE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! I spent 30 minutes in the store trying to get the item they claim to have at least 5 of online. Went to aisle....nothing. Waited for assistance.....nothing. Went to the service desk: first, they tried to service the person BEHIND ME as if I wasn't standing there; 2nd, tried to "man-splain" where to find the item ; 3rd, never sent help to the aisle. Then found someone to tell me where to find management, and they directed me back to the service desk. After 4 trips between there and aisle 12, the only solution was to pull out my phone, call the service desk and ask how the hell to get service in the store. Ended up leaving after I was told "oh, its here.....you just need to order it and COME BACK TOMORROW TO GET IT". I don't think so! Luckily the location on S Pickett Street had it. Took a total of about 5 minutes. If I could not give it a star at all....I most definitely would.

I don't recommend purchasing a large appliance from Home Depot for them to install. On April 25, my husband and I paid almost $2,400 for a refrigerator and another $300 for delivery and installation. It wasn't available but we waited until June. It was delivered June 12. The installers notified me that they couldn't install it because of a copper line and a licensed plumber was needed. I would hear back in 24 hours on the plumber's availability. That didn't happen. I called them and was left on hold for over an hour. When I called back, I was advised it would be 72 hours before I receive a call to have the plumbing and installation scheduled. I advised that wasn't acceptable. Why didn't they send a plumber with the installers since a water line is installed? I didn't have this problem when the old refrigerator was installed over 10 years ago. This is ridiculous!!! They are unwilling to refund a portion of the installation fee we paid. I will never buy another large appliance from them and have them install it.

The customer service here is TERRIBLE. Don't buy a door here. "Danny" is NEVER on site, I've waited hours for service, few people can solve the simplest problems, people don't answer the phone, and I've had to come back to the store four times--only to wait some more!

The worst customer service ever. I waited in line for20 minutes finally got to customer service to exchange light bulbs that weren't working. Kofi asked me to go get the bulb I needed since he wouldn't do it. I was gone for a minute. Meanwhile. Logo He took another customer and I had to wait another 10 minutes. They really need to step up their customer service. It's horrible.

Attn: Store Manager, Michael N. On 7 November 2020, I decided to go to the Home Depot located at 7710 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA at 2:30 pm, to purchase for the very first time a BBQ Grill. The sales cashier, Maydelin, was rude, not helpful, and had poor customer service. When I was done with the purchase, I had to ask her where would I go to get my BBQ Grill. She didn't bother to inform me where I go to get the BBQ Grill. Mind you, this was my first time purchasing a BBQ Grill at Home Depot, so I really didn't know the process. She finally mentioned that I had to go outside to get the grill. I went outside and the employee outside said there are no grills outside and that I would have to go back inside to Customer Service to get the grill. So that made me really upset and frustrated! So I'm sure, if you were a customer in my shoes, you would be just confused, frustrated, and be given the run around was not good! When I went back inside, I walked up to the Customer Service counter and there was a female who seemed helpful in the beginning, (She was located in the first register closest to the entrance), but when she heard in my voice that I was upset, she responded by raising her voice at me, which I felt was not necessary because I'm the paying customer, and by the way, Customers are Always Right, Regardless, and she should have just listened to me. It didn't seem like she wanted to hear it, and to top it off, she herself didn't know what to do, so she had to call another staff (male), and I wish I had gotten his name, who finally knew what to do and knew exactly how to handle the situation. He was awesome and I don't know if this would help but the new invoice he provided me, under Salesperson: CXA4271. Home Depot should have more staff like him and I recommend that Home Depot provides Customer Service Training, if they don't already do so. In my line of work, and by the way, I am Active Duty military, I deal with customers on a daily basis so i put myself in their shoes and would want to be treated the same way every customer should be treated...With Respect! Just a suggestion, if you have the funds to send your staff to Disney Training, I highly recommend it! The Army sent me and it was definitely WORTH IT! Disney by far provides the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!Cindy

This location is a sad excuse for the home depot name.Upon entering. You're not greeted or anything. Walked pass multiple employees thru the garden center. Not one even said hi or anything despite looking directly at me.The store is fully stocked and is clean. They're NOT however sanitizing carts here nor do they have any chemicals available for cleaning the carts yourself. NICE...........The overall employees are nowhere near professional nor helpful. When I finally found a employee I could tell by the tone of his voice I was taking him away from texting on his phone to needing help finding a item. The main downfall of this store is trying to find a employee to help you really. After searching the store almost on the other end of the store. I finally found someone and the employee didn't even know what a "Dehumidifier" even was nor what it does. TRULY WoW.....It seems like most of the employees here are kids really in their early 20's. Not that there's anything wrong with that. But when your asking serious questions regarding home improvement. It's like your talking to a brick wall. The manager here needs be fired or something for not training his/her employees even with basic knowledge. The overall general crowd is regular people. Some contractors. Mainly adults.

The dishwasher died at our house! Who knew that dishwashers are not being shipped into the US at the moment (along with a lot of other smaller appliances)? However, we are always pleased with Home Depot! Off we went with hopes of being able to choose a dishwasher. We finally picked one out that happened to be on Clearance and we were told that there were no more in the warehouse. Sandy D. was amazing! Her customer service and kindness went above and beyond what was expected.

They're incompetent. They don't know the answers most of the time when I ask for help. It takes forever for someone to help you when they page someone in the department you need help in. I tried to pick up an air filter that I ordered online and they said they didn't have it in stock because it's a special order, even though I was holding it in my hand and showing it to their faces?Their signs say they can install kitchen faucets, but when I asked to have it done, they said they don't have anyone who can do it.When I asked for assistance with a charcoal grill, I stood around for almost 10 minutes. Customer service kept paying someone for me, but no one came during those 10 minutes. So I left and talked to someone stocking up by the bbq grills, and he helped me. Always frustrating to get help here.
