Overall nice room. Very small bathroom. Location is very close to Starbucks (hotel coffee was average). Close to Metro for easy access to central DC and sightseeing. Although there is nothing worthwhile seeing within walking distance of the hotel. Bed was comfortable and clean. Housekeeping staff did a very good job every day refreshing our room. Some components could use an upgrade: shower head was very loose and didn't work that well, bathroom sink barely drained, bathroom mirror was waterdamaged, refrigerator made lots of noise so I had to unplug it, Bathroom exhaust was poor. Hallway has a musty smell. The last night we stayed there we noticed silverfish in the bathroom.I am disappointed they started charging $20/night for parking. Apparently you can park in the Metro parking lot across the street for $8/night.4-stars is generous.Noteworthy details: Best for access to the metro for day-trips into DC.

The front desk service at this hotel is deplorable. The guy named Tony at the desk just kept my husband waiting for one hour and refused to let him into the room. I had called the hotel well in advance to assure that there would be no problems adding him to the reservation because I was flying into town late. The desk agent on the phone assured me there would be no issues. Well, this guy was not cooperative, claimed to not have a reservation under my name at first, then made me send 2 emails and a copy of my driver's license all while I was sitting on a plane. Luckily I had wifi access. I am a Diamond Elite IHG rewards member. So if this hotel staff member treats their loyal brand members so poorly, I can only imagine how badly he treats others. Not happy with his unnecessary behavior. Will try to avoid another stay at this venue at all costs. The Holiday Inn in Arlington was much easier to deal with on the last trip. Learn some customer service please.

This is the most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed in. The beds are disgusting. The room stinks the hallways stink and there's mold everywhere. There's hair all over the place.

Ok, so when you look at a web site when you have kids the first thing they want is a pool. Having kids that play soccer they like to go in after a game to relax. This hotel has great pictures of the pool and the web site offers it as one of the amenities. The door to the pool in this location is locked.!!!I asked the front desk and they said it was closed for the season! I said that makes no sense its inside. Then she said well its 8 ft and needs a lifegaurd. They also said its been closed since October. Then the front desk told me its posted on the web site that its not open! LIARS!!!! I immediately called IHG the IHG that represents all of these locations and asked if the pool was open and they said oh Yes!! I said no restrictions and again of course yes it sure is but only for guest. You mean not people walking bye that wanna go for a swim?!@#I kept the affilate on the phone and proceeded to the desk and called the front desk out !!! with him on. the phone!! Remember they represent this location and many more ! I asked the same questions with him on speaker so she could hear!! She said were not a part of IHG which clearly they are. Needless to say they are completely out of line. They charge for parking but they wont take any money off for deleberatly telling customers the pool is open until they get there. So a new girl was there today and she said its under maintenance. I said please dont Lie anymore put a sign on the pool door and udate the web site.Clearly they like to have the pool as representation but are unable to offer it to Guest.Lots of leaking roof areas also, the elevator was leaking every where along with gym room. Do your self a favor and stay in a hoel that takes care of there guest. Honestly if they just did the right thing it wasn't the worst hotel but dont misinform the people who pay your bills.

I want to start out, this is not a BAD hotel despite the 2 star rating.Right off, I took one star away for the indoor pool being closed for "seasonal maintenance." Had I known this when booking, I would NOT have chose this hotel for our weekend stay. I feel like this should have been disclosed, and I had 2 very disappointed kids who were looking forward to swimming.Second, I took off a star for A/C issues - the first room we were in on the 5th floor A/C did not work at all, and by 8:30pm we were miserable. I called the front desk, and the engineer was prompt to visit and diagnose the issue of A/C not staying on. The engineer said he would get us another room, and was very apologetic. At 9:30pm I had restless kids, and placed a call back down to the front desk asking about the status of our room...I was told the engineer would be bringing us the new room keys, which happened right after I called, along with a luggage cart to help us move all our stuff to the 8th floor - very nice gesture and service! The new room was a tad cooler, but you could tell the A/C was still NOT running to its potential...The thermostat said it was 58 degrees in the room, but it never got below 69/70.Speaking of the rooms, that's where the 3rd star got deducted. They are very dated and show age - stains on ceilings, bathroom mirrors peeling, drawers on furniture broken, carpet is old and smelly. Also there was trash under each bed when looking, my son found a computer mouse and food trash under the beds. Ice machine did not work on 8th floor, 9th floor one was working. Would like to have more USB outlets in room for devices and charging.Overall, surfaces were clean and daily housekeeping was very nice. Parking is plentiful and the location itself is great. Full size Dove amenities in the bathroom were appreciated. Beds were comfortable. I saw no bugs. Staff was nice. Plenty of elevators that are quick and large enough.

Location close to the subway and market. Large room with 2 beds, delicious sheets, comfortable bed and pillows, small bathroom and no pressure shower. Minibar and coffee maker in the room with coffee and tea available. Breakfast served by menu, very good.

Our overall stay was not bad, the hotel was in a good location it was clean, the staff was nice and the beds were comfortable . My issue with the hotel was it didn't smell fresh and we could hear everything going on outside of our room and was loud from late at night until we left in the morning.

The location lists a pool as an amenity but then when we arrived the desk attendant informed it wasn't open. It is ridiculous to list an amenity and then not offer it. We booked this hotel based upon that amenity alone.

I stayed at this hotel for a week. I was in town for a week long training course for work. The hotel was very nice. The location in relation to my training center was perfect. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning crew was here everyday and did a remarkable job. However there was less lighting near the shower part of the bathroom, but no biggie. Everyone was professional and friendly, which is a BIG DEAL for me. I ate in the cafeteria every day, and the food and service was excellent. There was a very nice waiter that waited on me whos name was Aziz. He was very professional, and worked very hard to see that everyone had a stellar dining experience!

Share your room with cockroaches? That's what you will find here. Ken, the general manager, doesn't give a proverbial pig's posterior. This particular Holiday Inn is dilapidated. Broken machines, filthy rooms and general disgusting common areas.Caveat emptor.

Was there for three nights and based on pricing I can't complain much however, I have to address concerns. Not every floor's ice machine works, had to learn which floors did. No fan in bathroom for a 2 bed room. Lastly, shower pressure was weak.
