For several years prior I had purchased plants here with the original owners in this location and the staff at that time were very helpful. I would pay for a new plant and for potting it in my indoor plant container I brought from my apartment. But a couple years ago I had a very disappointing experience and stopped shopping at this center. Staff wanted to drill a hole in my ceramic fishbowl container and insisted they couldn't pot the plant I was buying from them in the container without a hole. I have used these containers for years and my plants are beautiful because I don't over water. In fact I give away my plants when they outgrow my favorite containers. Holes can be helpful, but they aren't necessary for all houseplants. Don't overwater is pretty basic.

Really helpful at identifying plants/flowers that would do well in the space I have and at getting everything loaded into my car. Staff were great and a great variety of options to choose from for flowers and plants.

I do like this place, though some items seem to be really expensive (a bird feeder was double the price as the same one from Home Depot for same brand. Like $50 vs $25).
They do have a rewards program though, which is a plus. Big outdoor selection and I like the types of soil they sell. Employees always nice and helpful and have given good recs when asked.
I like their indoor plant selection, they occasionally have some more rare/odd plants. Sadly the latest plant I bought this past weekend has spider mites and I am treating it with pesticides to try to get rid of it. Definitely quarantine any indoor plants you buy from them and treat them before introducing with your other plants!

Picked up starter plants for my deck garden this year. Good plant selection and wonderful service. They helped find plants and carry supplies to our car. Have a little bit of a paved path but the gravel in most of the areas are not wheelchair or walker friendly.

We had a great time taking our doggo to have his picture taken with the Easter bunny - its such a fun event for the community.
And there was a huge selection of flowers and veggie plants so early in the season. Lots to choose from and great quality!

This place is a little green oasis. We went for Easter bunny pics (10/10, highly recommend) and in the process I lost my phone. While looking for it, I met almost every person working there and they were all very patient and helpful and I did eventually find my phone wedged in the hydrangeas. I regret not bringing my dog along - I met a few adorable pups who were there to get their pictures with the bunny. We walked out with some nice herbs and a few 4-packs of purple pansies. Great place to go if you're having a stressful day and need some plant therapy.

I joined Greenstreet Gardens on their bus tour to the Philadelphia Flower Show this year and I highly recommend it. After driving myself for many years and stressing about finding parking and then worrying about hitting rush hour on the return trip, I finally decided to let someone else do the stressing! From the friendly staff on the bus to the ease of simply enjoying the trip and the flower show and letting someone else do all the planning and organizing, this is the way to go. This was my first year and definitely not my last joining them on this tour.

3.9.2024 It's a small place but has a solid selection. No greenhouse really so options are limited to mainly what is in season. Not nearly as big as the The Garden Plot or Merryfield but has the essentials and decent options. Parking can be difficult when they're busy. It's not cheap and runs at same prices as the much bigger nurseries that have more selection and options, and is significantly more expensive than say a Home Depot. Service is good and they have staff that are qualified and can help with questions. Mulch, stones, garden soil, trees, shrubs, bulbs, seed, and tools are also sold.

Went on the bus trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show on March 5th! This was my second time taking the Greenstreet Gardens bus to the show, and I can't recommend it highly enough. No worries about parking --- you can just sit back and relax and catch up with friends. Tim and Ana did a great job communicating at departure time from Philly, assuring everyone was present. It's a large venue and has multiple exits. Everything really went quite smoothly, considering various logistical challenges. The snack bags provided for our trip home were generous and had a variety of items to hopefully please everyone. My thanks to the multiple people at Greenstreet Gardens who pulled the trip off so successfully.

Greenstreet Gardens is a gem in the midst of Alexandria! I stopped there, looking for a larger pot for one of my indoor plants and met Kate Ellen who is not only warm and friendly, but a living encyclopedia on plants! She not only helped me, but educated me.I'm looking forward to returning to purchase plants for my patio and brightening up the outdoor space. This is a business that cares not only about plants, but nurturing a relationship with people.
