How very surprised of the amount of bread differences that they have at the store. I really appreciate the sales person who helped me out. A older gentleman, 72 years old. Very helpful employee. And I mean extremely helpful. Thank you so much sir you have a customer for life!!!

They were so kind as to put their last two cinnamon roll aside so that we could pick them up later. Super friendly service. Interior was a bit confusing as it was totally full of cardboard boxes. The cinnamon rolls were wonderfully loaded with i ing…definitely not stingy with that. The overall taste though was ok, really (too) sweet and the dough of the roll tasted a bit not so fresh. It was nice to try, but I wouldn’t order it again.

I returned a small loaf of this store's Honey Whole Wheat bread. It had not been given enough time to raise properly. I spoke to the owner. She said she was aware of the bread batch yesterday, but "sometimes that happens."Yes, that does happen. It happens when the batch is poorly raised, possibly because it's a cold day in the kitchen or the yeast is old. You raise the heat, you give it more time or both. You do not, however, "just bake anyway." That's what separates the GOOD bakeries from places that deliver a "1-star loaf." I shared this with her as kindly as I could, but she did not seem to grasp it.I left the very dense, heavy loaf with her. She didn't offer my money back or to replace the loaf. She asked if there was anything she could do, but I was so shocked that she was rationalizing her poor baking that I didn't ask for a replacement loaf (Would it have been any better? Seems unlikely. It was colder today.)She said I was welcome to look at any loaf before I took it home. In the past, I trusted Great Harvest to bake a proper loaf. That is over for me.I will be looking for a different bakery, which is sad, because I rarely get bread and when I do, I liked their breads. But I can't face another loaf of un-risen cooked dough because the owner thinks that "just happens."

Love the baked good. I had the blueberry scone, more cakelike, but delicious. Options for gluten free.

Great service and genuinely lovely helpful staff. I LOVE they're free samples. We always buy their rosemary garlic sourdough. This time, we tried the garlic herb butter, and it's amazing!

Far and away the best bread and sweets I've ever had. Wonderful selection of seasonal Jewish treats that are otherwise hard to find. My mother-in-law said it best. "I grew up in New York and this place has the best challah I've ever had in my life."

The vendor at the Alexandria farmers market is rude and impatient. After poor customer service to pay more than $10 for a loaf of bread, it’s average.

Great bread and be sure to collect the paper inside. Once you have 12 you get a free loaf.

We at AppleTree@Rocketship Rise are truly grateful for the Teacher Appreciation breakfast. It is a blessing knowing that there are organizations that honor the hard work and dedication of teachers. Megan and the staff donated breakfast treats to our teaching staff and the teachers could not have been happier! The muffins and scones were DELICIOUS! Providing this breakfast gave the teachers the much needed boost to start the day with the children. From the bottom of our hearts, we are so grateful and will be coming through to further support your location!!

Located on sort of the back side of a strip mall, GHBC isn't all that easy to spot. You'd never notice it from the road. But I stopped in for the first time today and got a pumpkin chip loaf (so hard to find when it's not fall!!!!!) and really good pistachio chocolate chip biscotti which was CHOCK FULL of pistachios. You can tell they don't skimp on quality ingredients. I'll be back to try more flavors of their bread loaves for sure.

The smell of fresh bread when you first open the door is ridiculous! And what lays in front of you is a universe of sweet and savory yumminess that you can not resist. Their cinnamon buns are the most cinnamononononony, fresh, soft, sweeet things ever. I tried their cheddar garlic bread and MAN! You have to try this place.... a neighborhood favorite, my new favorite, and your new yummy!

Happened upon this bakery while visiting an amazing candy store in same strip. Purchased oatmeal cookies and Raisin Burst bread. Excellent. Went back twice since then purchasing orange tea cake, more cookies and raisin bread along with white bread. Each and every product was not only fresh baked but flavorful and large portions. Can buy the bread sliced or whole. Owners on site. Obviously a family operation. Very helpful and makes investing in community a huge plus. BTW. I travel from DC to the bakery and well worth the time and trip.
