Amazing work ! Chaz helped amazingly despite the rain being in our way. Georgetown helped move my Aunt, they were in her apartment all day. They ran into many barriers, especially with the elevator but that didn’t stop them ! They got the job done as efficiently as possible.

Worst moving company I have ever used. Because of constant smoke breaks, getting "lost" on route to my destination, lunch breaks, and other unnecessary disruptions I was forced to pay for, they took more than double the estimated time and charged me for the whole thing.
Not only that, but they were careless in moving my larger furniture, and a few of my boxes had broken fragile items by the time they finished the job. The movers themselves were unprofessional; constant profanity, worked very slow, and obviously could care less about their jobs.
Overall, do not use this company.

Georgetown moved me from PA to SC and I would highly recommend their services. The team was friendly, hardworking and enjoyable to be around - they even mounted our TV. They went above and beyond to make our move seamless and easy. Also they delivered our stuff in just 3 days - some companies gave me a range of 2-20 days. You can’t beat their services and they were very reasonably priced.

It started out good: The moving crew arrived on time and it took an hour to load up, but then unload took 3 hours which in large part due to the crew going MIA for over 45mins when they were supposedly “getting gas down the way,” which for the record should not be on my dime. They were nice but unprofessional (i.e., taking personal phone calls on speaker phone and using profanity). I was charged a 0.5 hour “lunch break” for the crew that was removed and the company told me a refund would be issued but now they are stating there isn’t going to be a refund issued because I’m being charged for 4 hours of labor and 1 hour of travel time, despite the 0.5 hours for a lunch being removed; I’m extremely confused how I’m being charged for 1 hour of travel time when it’s a 10-minute drive (max) between destinations. I got an email stating all this as the manager would never come to pickup the line and talk to me when I called through customer service. Definitely shady business practices and not a good way to do business IMO. And, now I’m annoyed I paid the crew a tip too which will not be something I do moving forward in the DMV area because these companies are dishonest at best. Very disappointed in the overall experience…should have just used College Hunks and called it a day, which is what I’ll do moving forward. I definitely WOULD NOT recommend using Georgetown Moving & Storage based on my experience.

Cannot really determine what to say first -- the customer support, timeliness, patience, dedication, carefulness, friendliness, price comparison.. 10s 10s 10s - across the board!!I searched for days before choosing a provider. If you're like me and you are searching for the best, and even when you find the best, you keep searching.. please allow me to save you days worth of time! BOOK. WITH. THEM!By the end of the move, I was ordering dinner to feed my drivers, because they worked, without rest, after being on the road driving my belongings from DC to FL.

What I thought was going to be a nightmare, Georgetown Movers - Shawn, Kareem and Jawaun made EASY!!! They were professional, kind, punctual, and efficient. Most importantly, likable! My move could not have gone better! At every stage this company and its employees were top notch. The quote was very reasonable and the final cost was almost exactly the same. The moving team was communicative and very professional. They took great care of my personal items. I would (and have already) highly recommend them to others.

My experience moving from Washington D.C. to North Carolina last week with Georgetown Moving was fantastic. Prior to the move, the help desk reached out on multiple occasions to make sure the truck was equipped with everything we might need. On the day of the move, the moving team, led by Ricardo, did an amazing job packing the truck in several hours and unloading it even faster the following morning. Everything from our larger furniture pieces to smaller, fragile items in boxes (dinnerware, pots/pans, record player) sustained no damage whatsoever. If you're doing a long distance move, I highly recommend considering Georgetown Moving.

Worst Moving Experience Ever. The company only sent two movers and the moving truck was too small to fit all of my items. I ended up having to pack my car with items and my boyfriend ended up assiting the movers move/load/pack/unpack everything. I was quoted a price of $500+ but when the move was completed, I was charged $1,200. I forgot to mention that the movers ended up driving to the wrong storage place and half of my items are broken and destroyed. Poor Service. I would not recommend this moving company to anyone.

If you are moving from one place to another without storage, I'll give them an "A."If you require your items to be stored, look somewhere else. I can only say "lesson learned." The fine print/many pages will get you every time. Just a note for future consumers.. They may not charge you first month rent, but they will charge what is called a "check in" fee..basically your rental fee. When you get ready to pick up your items, you will be charged a "check out" fee. Basically, you will be paying your storage fee TWICE and a warehouse fee. I was told that was the fee for my alloted time and for the workers' help. Good thing I had someone with me because they definitely did NOT help as we say "moving slower than molasses." As I said, lesson learned... When I picked up my items, my clothes were thrown in the garment boxes..I was told the boxes don't hold up in storage, how can they hold up when they didn't have the bar to begin with.. I couldn't listen anymore. Just remember if storing beware of the additional pricing.
