Another local service place was not very helpful. They said they would need to order a part but made an appointment. 3 days later they still did not have the part. (A common $0.10 part available at most auto parts stores.) FHSC said, "Sure, no problem!" They had the problem fixed the next day with no muss, no fuss. Price was a little less than the dealer service price. But, the convenience was great! I could walk there if necessary.

I highly recommend James Shackelford and his Fort Hunt Service Center for excellent service for foreign and domestic cars. Their prices are very fair and their work is completed quickly.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE: YOU CANNOT TRUST FORT HUNT SERVICE CENTER TO PROVIDE YOU WITH TIMELY SERVICE. James failed to meet his obligation for a tire change appointment. The appointment was scheduled for 8:30 AM on September 28, 2023. The vehicle was delivered at 8:20 AM and James said to park the vehicle in the parking lot, give him the keys and come back in two hours. After two hours and twenty minutes I arrived at Fort Hunt Service Center to pick up the vehicle only to see the vehicle being driven into the garage TO BEGIN the tire service. When asked why my vehicle was not ready on time, James responded by asking me if I wanted to have my vehicle pulled out of the garage. When I asked if he was refusing a customer's business, he said yes and had his employee remove the vehicle from the garage bay. James attempted to excuse his failure to manage his time schedule properly by telling me "do you expect to see a doctor on time?" His failure to simply call the customer and provide an update on the pending delay caused the customer unnecessary time from his schedule. Instead he lost my business and put his reputation at risk. James' lack of regard for timely, quality, customer friendly service is beyond the pale. I will be filing a customer complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

This service center was recommended to me since I am fairly new to the area. I have used it a few times and have been very satisfied each time . Mr. Shackleford (the owner) has always been available for consultation regarding the service needed to repair my (17 1/2 years old!) car. He has always been patient and pleasant as I described the car problem. He assigns an available date/time for the service and it has always been done when promised and the car problem is fixed. Being very close by is an added bonus for me!I hesitate to recommend this service center ONLY BECAUSE it is so popular already, the waitlist to get work done there may be even longer!!

I dropped my car off at 6:00 am. I only needed a tire checked out and it was a scheduled appointment. The service tech didn't get to it until around 3 and only when I called. Turns out the tire was bad. I brought a tire to be put on. He charged me $160 and didn't get to it until the next day - outrageous.
