My rescue has poodle in his dna so he has slightly curly hair. If you come here, be prepared for them to give you the same “doodle cut” no matter how many times you ask them for something different, they even wrote it down in front of me and it was still the same when I went to pick up my dog. They apologized and offered to give my dog a free bath sometime if I came back within a month (nice I guess but what a weird timeline). Additionally, they nickel and dime you without being up front. I went to get just a nail trim and they said oh do you want us to trim around his eyes too? And I said oh sure that’d be great! Turns out that eye trim was $40. What should’ve been a $30 trip was now $70. Its extremely frustrating, especially because the service isn’t that crisp anyways. I’ll go and have my dogs ears cleaned only to notice there’s still gunk in his ears when I get home. I will maybe return for nail trims, but refuse to get a full cut here because it becomes more expensive by the day and it’ll never be right anyways. I was hopeful this last visit would be better and maybe it was an unfortunate pattern, but it wasn’t and I’m disappointed.

I have gone to For Pets Sake for all my dogs grooming needs for over 14 years. They are wonderful. They care about their furry customers. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Excellent service, they did exactly what I requested, very easy to book, excellent communication with owner, they patiently listened to my requests and concerns. My pup was treated with great care. He lounged like a boss after his grooming ??

There are not careful and hurt my dog. I was hoping that with some instructions they will do a better job but they have hurt him again. I will stop using this groomer.

Had a wonderful experience getting my two dogs groomed here. I am new to the area and called all around the DMV to find a new groomer, and For Pet’s Sake had the best prices and great looking photos. They got me in same-day and my two dogs look incredible. They were super friendly, did exactly what I asked for and my anxious pup seemed very comfortable with them. Will be coming back to them for every groom. Every dog that left looked great and seemed happy.

We have been going to For Pets Sake for a long time. Always easy to make appointments within a few days. We love Luxe. My medium size dog, Buddha, is now 14! We trust that she will be taken care of and get a consistent hair cut every time!

We visited this place for our poodle’s grooming, but the last two times we we’re a little disappointed, the first of these two occasions they shaved her toes and I specifically ask to just cut all over to trim but nothing else, the second time they shaved her so close that it took her five days to recover and had very little sleep the first three nights because she was so uncomfortable. Overall they didn’t keep my dog in a crate (that I know of, gosh I hope I’m right).

We took our Bernedoodle here for a grooming this past weekend and had a great experience. They were very communicative, and the groomer did a great job with a summer cut. No complaints!

Kate is back grooming at For Pet's Sake! she is an absolutely fantastic groomer who loves challenges like grooming cats and dogs with lots of hair like golden retrievers. cannot recommend her highly enough. For Pet's Sake is located in the Fairlington Shopping strip on Quaker Lane in Alexandria. Try Kate. she loves what she does. You won't be disappointed and the pets love her.
