I was looking for a place to get vintage tea wares as I was hosting an afternoon tea party. The place was full of gorgeous sets and it was hard for me to choose between them all. I also liked the furniture and how all of the goods I saw that day were authentic and from different countries.

Evolution Home is the next step in the evolution of a 20+ year old business. We started as Potomac West Interiors and Antiques on the corner of Mount Vernon Avenue and Monroe in the Del Ray neighborhood of Alexandria. We expanded to Five Oaks Antiques, closed that store and opened Not Too Shabby Consignments right next door to Potomac West Interiors and Antiques. After the sale of our home of 15 years on Mount Vernon Avenue, we took a leap of faith and moved the business to the old St. Claire Appliance building on Richmond Highway. We are now moving to our forever home at 861 S. Pickett St in Alexandria.
