Great experience at Envy Us. When I saw it was black owned, I took my 53 minute bus ride to show love. So glad I did! They have kente cloth outfits and offer a supremely welcoming/helpful energy to customers. I’ll be coming here again!

Cassandra is always super helpful each time I visit. She's even played some YT vids to help me to get a better idea with hairstyles. I absolutely love this store. I've bought alot of hair in the past year!

I will be back. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was able to make suggestions when I said what I was looking for and how I planned to use what I was looking for. Prices are fair.

I’m a pixie girly & I love a good foam. After purchasing Nairobi foam from this location many times, I realized something was not right. The foam would not lather/foam up no matter how many times I tried & it dried very quickly! This led me to going to Nairobi’s website. Nairobi’s website listed specific distributors, their contact information & they only sell to licensed hair stylist who may sell it to their clients.
I called the distributor for Alexandria, VA and was told she doesn’t know of this location and that if Nairobi product is in a beauty supply store, it’s bootleg. She said that’s something that Nairobi is actually trying to crack down on.
With this new information, I gave it to an employee in this beauty supply store so they can be aware. Employee politely mentioned she’s unsure because I’m the only person to say something. As soon as she stated, “her vendor,” during the conversation, it confirmed the product was bootleg like the distributor has previously told me. She did say that she notified the owner of what I told her.
Otherwise, it’s always a pleasant experience when I shop here. Employees are nice. 2 stars because fact still remains that my money was wasted. It sucks that I’ve spent over $60 on fake products.

This is a big shout out to Ebony! I am an extremist when it comes to professionalism and excellent customer service. Ebony is an ambassador of professionalism, etiquette, and she raises the bar for expectations. She greeted me, she engaged me, and she gave a compliment to the ideal hair style I wanted. I asked Ebony if she was the store owner. She replied “no“. She treated the store as if it were her very own. Based upon my positive experience today with Ebony, I will recommend Envy Us especially because of her being a sincere and friendly sales associate. Also, the store is clean and well organized.?
