I will keep this simple and to the point, wake up early and go to the Del Ray Farmer’s market in Alexandria. Walk up to the Hog Haven Farm and order the best OG egg and cheese sandwich. Fresh muffin bread, warm omelette, secret tomatoes aioli sauce, and the Irish cheese. I am in love

Sweet little local farmers market which had a few missing stalls during my visit, due to the proximity to the holidays, but which is definitely worth your time. Great mixture of stalls, all kinds of produce, and of course you can wander the neighborhood a bit before and after as well. Parking isn't amazing in this part of the world but you can make it work!

Nice little farmer's market. In particular, Hog Haven farm has best breakfast sandwiches in Alexandria, Cold County Salmon has great choice of fish, Budding Bakery has interesting pastries. Other vendors are good too.

Love being a vendor at the Del Ray Farmers Market. Being a part of the community is so important and every one is so friendly and supportive. Plus all the dogs are just adorable.Note: the market itself is NOT dog friendly. However, Oxford street allows dogs and that's where we give free samples and sell our treats.

This is a cute, quaint farm market in Del Ray with different options: produce, meats & cheeses, bagels, specialty mushrooms, hand rolled pasta, homemade dumplings, and more. They're open from 8am-12noon on Saturdays, but be sure to account for some time looking for parking (hint: it's pretty challenging). I frequent Honey Brook Farms for their raw cheese and their organic meats, though it can be on the higher end. I also love Welle Made co Ghananian hand pies -- the vegan king oyster mushroom one sells out so fast, I have yet to try! The curry one was great nonetheless. There's also this one empanada place which respectfully makes GLUTEN FREE EMPANADAS. This is not a drill... if you're GF, RUN don't walk for them!! In the spring/summer time, one of the farms leaves out apple samples which is super sweet! I look forward to coming here to refill on organic meats and trying different local goodies!

It was a spontaneous Saturday morning and Strolled around the farmer's market at Del Ray. This farmers market offers a variety of vendors- fresh produce, beer & wine, fresh juices and local bake shops. The cool thing about it was that I met a local vineyard called Artimisha and get to taste their botanical wine! This was a spot for a quick walk for Saturday coffee & breakfast snack!

Started in 1994, the Saturday Del Ray Farmer's Market brings the community together. Open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., 20+ local vendors sell vegetables, fruit, baked goods, coffee and more in two parking lots in central Del Ray. There's seating, music, and lots of neighbors starting their weekend. The one downside is that you can't bring dogs within the market.
