Located in a unique historic building adjacent to public school sports field and former city swimming pool. Rotating exhibits with volunteers mostly managing the landscapes, events, and exhibits. Very friendly staff and members.

I really like community based art galleries and tucked away in Alexandria across from DC I came across Del Ray Artisans. They have exhibits that change on a regular basis and the art was decent. There was a friendly group and you get that community feeling.
Del Ray Artisans, founded in 1992, is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote art for the benefit of artists and the community. Our gallery hosts 10+ art exhibits each year, as well as life drawing, partners in art, and many special workshops. Del Ray Artisans supports the development of artists at all levels and serves as a center for thriving artistic activity in the Del Ray community in Alexandria, Virginia.
