Great Hotel, always clean and located in a quite convenient area. Everyone on staff is always very friendly. Special shout out to Katrice for being super helpful! I would definitely stay at this location in the future.

We stayed here for almost a month waiting for our house to be ready with three kids and a dog. The front desk staff Lacanas, Oscar, and Katrese were extremely helpful and friendly making our stay more accommodating and welcoming. Their laundry room is free and they have a nice little gym to get our workouts in. Super close to the Leiber gate and plenty of food options. The room has a stove top to cook and a microwave to cook. As well as a dishwasher and large fridge. They have a pantry by the front desk filled with food you can eat for breakfast lunch or dinner and snacks for purchase. Alma was our housekeeper most of the time and she made sure we had our room clean and towels and trash bags on hand. William also helped out with our trash and cleaned the carpet when my daughter spilled my coffee all over ?. We had two queen beds and a large closet, a tall dresser with deep drawers and a night stand with drawers and an office desk with shelves. There was plenty of room for us to live there for as long as we did. There was a doggy area for us to take the dog out. Would stay here again. 10/10

Stayed here for about a week and I’m so grateful my stay was more than amazing. I noticed that the rooms were renovated very very nicely and everyone was so kind and respectful. Definitely looking forward to booking a room again.

Hi, I stayed here for 2 months. The rooms are fine and I believe were recently renovated. LaCanas at the front desk was great! Always friendly and willing to chat. She was super nice and I even had a package delivered there two weeks after I checked out. She called me promptly and set it aside for me. Katrese was also great, I interacted with her less than LaCanas, but very helpful and friendly every time I saw her.My only issue with this hotel is that their desk staff, specifically LaCanas and Katrese, seem to be the only interested people that work here. There were mix ups with my reservation and both the guest services manager and general manager never called me back, despite several inquiries. In the end I was over charged a few hundred dollars. But on a 60+ day stay, it works out to a rounding error.

My stay at the Candlewood Suites Alexandria-Fort Belvoir was very nice. I had a longer stay than usual due to an incident at my apartment and a negligent landlord, but I was very comfortable in my suite. The rooms are cleaned every seven days, but you can ask for anything you need at the front desk in the meantime. LaCanas was so nice and accommodating as well as the rest of the staff. LaCanas cares about the safety and experience of those who stay at the hotel and you can tell she takes her job seriously. She takes care of the guests and addresses any needs or concerns promptly. Very refreshing! I would be happy to stay here again.

I travel a lot for work, and use multiple brands. IHG brand hotels are one of my favorites. I checked into this particular hotel because their neighbors next door were extremely rude. I had a great experience here. Service, cleanliness and convenience was on point. Go say hey to LaCaras C. at the front desk, who is an amazing new friend now! Give this hotel a try, you won't be disappointed.

Oscar the gm is a great asset to the company... Quick to assist... Makes the residents comfortable as possible with it not being home... Lacantas and katrese girllllls let me tell you these ladies are going places in the company friendly compassionate family like atmosphere when this crew is on the floor ... They are a dynamic trio from the door and go...The rooms are clean smell fresh w a neat and tidy feel...Pet friendly? You ask... Oh yes and don't discriminate against breed or species... The atmosphere for the pets even with the maids buzzing about cleaning is calm and respectfully quiet...Enjoy your stay y'all also please tell the front desk crew " the SD/fl girl says hello"

On 21 December 2023, I completed my second extended stay at the Candlewood Suites in Alexandria VA. My first stay was for 52 nights, October 10 - 6 December. My second stay was for 5 nights, December 16 - December 21. Both times the care that I received from the hotel staff members was amazing. Tim, LaCanas and Katrese all worked the front desk, they were professional, caring and they did an outstanding job of customer service. I highly recommend Candlewood Suites for any short or extended stay. The hotel accommodations and service you will receive will make for a very pleasant stay. My husband knew that the hotel was under renovation when he booked our room for the weekend. The room was nice but we checked out 2 minutes after checking in due to the roaches in the closet and bathroom.The front desk person said that she saw evidence of roaches downstairs during the renovation process but we were the first guests to report seeing roaches upstairs. She quickly refunded the cost of the room. Thank goodness we were able to find another room at a Holiday Inn that night otherwise it would have been a long drive back home.

I booked this room for a coworker who was planning to stay there for the summer. While everyone who worked there was nice, the additional guests (cockroaches) my coworker had in their room were not welcome. Cockroaches were literally falling out of the cupboards. The hotel staff moved them multiple times to try to find a room that was not infested, but it was hopeless. I sent them a box of Roach Traps to use until we were able to find them a new hotel.

Terrible property.There is no staff around for hours at night. We called, searched the property and waited for over 2 hours at the desk and a woman finally came in the front door with her coat on.The property is ill-kept both physically and in terms of cleanliness.When I called the manager, Janel, she hung up on me!

HORRIBLE customer service. Had a room booked for May 16, for one night. We were in the process of moving that day, and when I called the front desk around 1015 pm to let them know we were still coming, I was told our reservation had been cancelled due to renovation problems. We didn’t receive an email or phone call notifying us of the problem. So we had had to scramble last minute to find a room, which took about an hour, and was down by Potomac Mills in Woodbridge. We were already tired and stressed, so adding an additional driving time of 30 minutes was NOT ideal. The front desk person at Candlewood was curt and rude with a poor attitude.This hotel is supposed to be in the Army IHG network, so this sort of thing was completely unacceptable! I will think twice before booking again with IHG.

Entire stay was horrible. First off was never told when making the reservation that the hotel was under construction, then on day we were leaving received call that they could not accommodate us and they would let us know where we can stay. Then after we left received another call they they can. After long trip we got our room only to have the construction crew who was staying in room above us wanted to party all night and the staff did nothing to stall it. I would never stay here again. Workers overall are nice but do nothing to fix any issues here at night. Half the time I can find anyone to help or to handle these issues.
