I had a really terrible experience with Lindsay here. I had been riding for about 8 years when I started at Aldie Equestrian yet Lindsay made me feel like a beginner, constantly belittling me and making inappropriate comments about my body. I felt like I had to constantly prove myself to her, and after nearly a year of riding with Lindsay I saw no improvement in my riding. When we first contacted her she kept going on about how she was getting a 16 y/o that jumped 5 feet, and then talked bad about her when we actually got to the barn. She would not let me tack up the lesson horse, use my own brushes, or saddle pads, but would consistently put the saddle way in front of where it should be. Almost none of her horses had any top line muscle. My breaking point was when she accused me of treating her horse as a "machine" when I didn't pet him once or twice when he was good, but was perfectly comfortable twitching his ears to shave them.I have met some other women that were at this barn and all of their experiences are just as negative, some being told that their children will never be as good as her own, or being kicked out because of a hunch. She also uses her clients as therapists, talking bad about her other clients or her family, making everything about herself and how miserable she is. I don't remember a lesson where I didn't leave crying because of her berating me. I have never and will never recommend this barn.

Lovely place that takes excellent care of their boarders and lesson horses. I have been boarding here for over a year. Great fields and grass. ZERO drama and the other boarders and riders are so kind and helpful. The owner/trainer Lindsay is wonderful and has boosted the confidence of my horse and I tremendously. Lots of showing opportunities. We could not be happier here!

My 13 yo daughter started riding here close to a year ago. She moved from a busy lesson barn with large group lessons to training with Lindsay Fox with the goal of getting her confidence back, learning to ride well and competing safely. Lindsay is an excellent trainer drawing from her professional experience and knowledge. She has a unique ability to break down even the basics and explain the whys of the form and teaches how to adjust for each horse and each ride. My daughter has gone from rarely placing in VHSA/BHSA competitions, to consistently placing top 3 with Reserve and Grand Champion in levels higher than previously competing. Most impressively in divisions where the ride is based on the rider and not the horse. She loves riding here, the horses are well loved, and the other riders and boarders and kind and supportive. Having a barn-hand that lives on-site who is dedicated to his work and love for the animals there makes a noticeable difference as well.

I highly recommend Aldie Equestrian Center. I started just taking lessons and now have been boarding my horse. Lindsay is a great trainer for both me and my horse. She helped me get my confidence back after a bad leasing experience. My horse gets too notch care and is very happy. Barn is well maintained by the staff and boarders/students are all very friendly!

I started taking lessons at Aldie Equestrian Center & Fox LLC, June 2021 with Lindsay - as I switched from my former barn of 18 years, due to having goals & dreams that my former riding instructor was not able to help me work towards aforementioned goalsEver since I've started riding & taking lessons with Lindsay, I've made nothing but progress towards my goals for my riding, but also, as a rider out of the saddleThe barns are always exceptionally clean, there's extraordinary attention to individual details & not to mention, that Aldie Equestrian is completely drama free! The care & attention that they give to each and every individual horse on that farm is what every horse boarding & equestrian facility should strive to beEvery horse, whether it be Lindsay's own horses, or a boarder's, get top of the line care & attention!

Beautiful facility and great care for horses. Lindsay gives private lessons that are very beneficial to both horse and rider!

My experience here has been nothing short of fantastic. The barn is always peaceful, the riders/boarders have always been friendly, and Lindsay is incredibly professional and welcoming. All of the horses receive the best of care and are obviously loved. As a mom of two littles needing to get my confidence back from a break in riding, I couldn’t be happier with Aldie Equestrian.

Awful facility, not much knowledge of horse care. Stay far away from this place if you actually care about your horse.
