View is absolutely exceptional
Wine flight caused more laughter than at any other time in our day. The white flight was like playing the lottery. Wasted money and really bad. The Hazy IPA was wonderful. Loved it. The rest of the beer flight others in my party ordered was awful. Most of what we bought was tossed. Come for the view and the hazy IPA. Supporting the theory, “the better the view, the worse everything else”

I ended my day on a high note with a visit here yesterday. The experience was nothing short of exceptional! Upon arrival, I was impressed by the vast parking lot, making it easy to find a spot. The winery itself offered ample space to explore, both indoors and outdoors. The style/design of the building is super detailed, must go and see for yourself.
I sampled a delightful Riesling and Rosé, both of which were expertly crafted. But what truly stole the show were the breathtaking views - hands down, top 5 views I've ever experienced at a vineyard! I'm so glad I saved this gem for last.
Another pleasant surprise was the extended hours of operation, allowing me to unwind until 9 pm. The serene atmosphere and stunning scenery made for a perfect evening. If you're looking for a winery that combines great wines, beautiful scenery, and relaxed vibes, Hazy Mountain Vineyards is a must-visit destination in Charlottesville. Be sure to add it to your list and save it for last, just like I did - the views are truly the perfect finale!

My new favorite Virginia winery! Why? Because they brew Beer too! And the view is awesome. Food and service was great.
Erin was attentive but not overbearing.
Look forward to returning to see the fall foliage.

Interesting place — pros: beautiful view, tons of seating, full menu. Cons: all paper products (plates, etc) so it feels really casual in a pretty fancy setting. Covered patio is beautiful but super loud great place for wine and substantial food and a long hangout especially for a large group, but not as good as other wineries for a smaller more intimate gathering.

For starters, the view is fantastic. We were sitting in the open air, semi indoor seating area and with the large windows we still had a good view of the mountains.
I’m not much of a wine connoisseur so I can’t comment on how good/bad the wine is but it was one of the few times I've ever liked a white. I'm typically a cabernet sauvignon guy. A lot of people in the reviews trashed the pizza but we thought it was pretty good considering it's being served at a winery. It reminded me of old school Pizza Hut. The meatballs also exceeded expectations. Our two servers did a great job taking care of us despite how busy it was

We were reluctant to try this spot given the 4.1 rating (at the time of this writing), but we had a great time and were very pleasantly surprised. Yes it was a Tuesday, but the service was super friendly and efficient, the charcuterie board was delicious, and the staff was ON IT when a storm blew through and the windows needed to be shuttered (and then reopened after). BTW, it’s very true that the views are unmatched!!

great views, but the food is absolutely pathetic and seriously over-priced / small portions. Pizza is served lukewarm, not very enjoyable dining experience. Eat somewhere else before you go.

Wine and beer are NOT GOOD. The food is kinda ok. The only thing worth visiting this place is the VIEW.

Food, beer and wine were all as good as the view! Staff was great. The building reminded us of our time in Europe. Drop this location in the French or Italian mountains and it would be right at home. Lots of people are calling Virginia wine regions the next Napa, this place is ahead of the curve!

Fantastic venue to see the mountains and get some great pics of the surrounding area. Tasted some excellent wines. Our experience was even better when the person assisting us with our wine selection gave us an option, and knowledge, that allowed us to taste more wines that we were interested in. The Blaufrankisch is to die for. That was my reason for visiting and it did not disappoint. You will pay more for the reserve wines, but the prices were the same as compared to other wineries in the area. But nobody has that view

The views are gorgeous however the atmosphere was more like "I am only here for the money". Paper and plasticwear, order your food at the bar, no cash just credit, provide your mobile number to be notifiedb when to pick food up yourself at a central table anyone and everyone can get to. No personal touch strictly business
