Food Country in Abingdon:Good Thing; there Deli and Salad Bar is Amazing, the times the Male manager is there it is Amazing; Fresh Quality Food; Reasonably Priced! Love the Selection; & the Pre-Prepared Dinners!! ???The Bad; for deli portion I have noticed when the Male manager in Deli' not sure of his name' but he is very Knowledgable, Courteous, however when he is not there! I have noticed food quality goes down! I have bought deviled eggs, that where old??' & wilted lettuce, or aged radishes?? Not sure if the employees just get lazy?? or what!! But when he is there & during day' Everything is Perfect!At night time' I have wasted money on spoiled foods??'The Rest of the Grocery Store' Is Way To Over Priced!! Which Shows why the Place is a Ghost Town, yet; the Deli & Salad Bar region will have like 4-5 people running around' because we Like Fresh Quality' Food that is Reasonably Priced!I Don't do my regular shopping there due to who wants to pay 4.00 for juice??!!Food Lion has much Cheaper!! Regular Price plus their Coupons!! 2.50 - 3.50!!Even Food Country's Soup & Veggie Cans are over 2.00$ ??' Food Lion is still 1.20-1.50!! When you add this up to All Grocery Items for Example a person would end up spending 60.00 to a 100.00 more for a grocery list' that (not convenient by the way) would have to drive to other side of town to Food Lion to Save that Money!! Lets Face it!! That is what is Happening!!Not only that But the things I have bought in Refrigerator & Freezer Section have ended up being bad??' Yes!! Molded Cheese!! & Just Recently Ice Cream Cookies, that where melted!! & Re Frozen to Show' & where also Old!I Have an MBA' so this is basically a Free Business Consult!Not Sure if the Cooling systems in store are going out & bad' but needs to be looked at!! Or if items are being left out on deliveries & spoiling before shelved??!! Regardless!' Quality Control' Correct Action' & Monitoring Needed!! Remember this is Food, & Peoples Safety is at Risk, with Food Borne Illnesses??' That is Serious!! not only for Health Department Standards, but if one of your patrons gets sick; ill, or worse; It Is Past A Liability of Shut Down License But Lawsuits'!! I Have gotten Spoiled Food there on 4 dif' Occasions!! & All of which was the only time I purchased other then the Deli??!!If You Want to Have Great Business & Not Turn it Away to Your Competitors!! Pricing Has to Come Way Down to Match Food Lion & Walmart!! Point Blank!! if You have a 100 customers spending 2.00 you get 200.00!! If you have 5 customers spending 4.00 you only have 20.00 and at the End of the day' only 5 customers!! Because regardless of economic situations being good or bad! People are not stupid & are going to save! They can pull up weekly deals from there phone & shop, compare before driving out to spend! People are Smart & Mobile!!!Food Country Has Great Potential' if they can Across the Board fix these difficiencies!! Price & Quality on Each Item!! Not Hard!! I would rather buy local, as I'm sure others would! However these Standards would Need to Be Implemented & Met!! Thats Fair!! I Hope This Helps & Food Country can Revamp itself!! otherwise I see a Ghost Town' & Lost Opportunity!! 200.00 $ sounds a lot Better & Meeting Quality Safe Health Standards; then only 20.00 $ and a bad name!! with Legal Liability!! The Right Decisions Make a Business' Thrive' Not Barely Survive' or Worse Health Deprt. Probs & Shut Doors!! & or loss of customers for Over Priced Goods!! Look at your Competitors & See what keeps them Packed with Customers & Revenue!! & You are Going to Always Find High Quality, with Low Pricing! Both Customers & Business will Thrive!! ???
