We stay here often. The biggest issue is being anywhere near the lobby... the morning staff is RIDICULOUSLY LOUD starting as early as 7am. People come to sleep and having a bunch of people yelling back and forth outside of guest rooms is completely unacceptable. This is a constant problem and this last stay may have been our last. We will try one of the other hotels in the area next time.

Loved that we weren't disturbed unless we wanted. Close enough to the casino to enjoy our trip and not pay excessive for a room.Rooms: CleanSafety: All rooms open into a hallway, not outside.

Stayed here due to some car trouble on the way home from vacation. Convenient location and great breakfast. Person at the front desk was very friendly and helpful when we checked in and a good night's sleep. However my biggest issue was the following morning. Checkout was at 12 noon and i asked to be sure that was correct. House keeping kept coming into the room unannounced. Three different people knocked and immediately came in without ever announcing that they were housekeeping before we could say anything. The third time was a man and luckily my wife had just finished changing clothes right before he came in without announcing and waiting for a response. I understand that they are doing their jobs but if it is still not checkout time they should never assume the room is empty before then. Should announce that they are housekeeping and wait to see if somebody responds. I was in and out of the room alot as I was working on our car so she was alone alot of the time having to deal with this. She did not lock the deadbolt since I was going back to the room. we did not have a do not disturb sign to hang on the door to help avoid the issue. Everything else was great but multiple employees coming into our room unannounced on my wife while she is alone is unacceptable and extremely uncomfortable.

This is the 2nd time we stayed at the Country Inn & Suites in Abingdon, on our way from Texas to Pennsylvania. This will always be one of our stops. The staff is so kind and helpful and the cleanliness is always a 10!!! Thank you for such a restful stay during a long drive.

Easy access from highway, a clean bed with super soft sheets, and an extremely clean bathroom. Exceeded expectations. Check in was a bit slow but I had no reservation and staff was helpful once it was my turn at deskSafety: Traveling solo and had no safety worries here, staff was at front desk and plenty of activity in lobby

Stayed here on a trip to WV! Loved the location. Just a couple of exits from major restaurants. Quiet area. Well lit parking lot! Beds, comforter, pillows, & towels were all wonderful!! I’ll be staying here again when I go back toward WV!

Most friendly staff. Real breakfast free. Always have fresh cookies at front desk. We stayed three days was really nice. Good location to food fun and shopping. Close to Damascus and Grayson Highlands State park. Dog friendly as well.

Great place to stay for a visit to Abingdon, Virginia Creeper Trail and/or The Barter Theatre. Rooms were comfortable, good prices and availability. William at the front desk was very helpful in helping us navigate restaurants.

Room was ok except for traffic noise. Back of bathroom door is scraped up . Our check in was great. Will was professional and friendly. Morning . Some guy trying to look like Kenny Rogers walking around like Dolly just died. I would say he is the boss!!! Stern words for every employee at front desk and serving breakfast. It made them all go into bad attitudes. No name tag or smile on Kenny look a like. But needs a class or two on how to treat people.

I had such a rough day driving through the mountains with my service dog and had no idea I was still in Virginia by the time I stopped it was 9:00 p.m. and a nice young man named Will sold me an emergency room that was so nice. Thanks Will for getting my dog and I a safe night! Lovely place!Rooms: Perfect and very cleanSafety: I felt perfectly safe. That is my biggest thing on the road.

Rooms were clean and spacious. The staff were great and friendly. Vending machine only takes cash and I was short so front desk guy hooked me up so I could get my wife her drink!

It's slightly down from the primary street level and my android auto didn't indicate which side of the street it was on. This isn't an especially big town but the traffic flow was poorly planned. It either needs a couple more lights or some more thought about the timing. Because of the traffic load from both directions getting from one side of the street to the other was best accomplished by driving a bit in the direction of the traffic and finding a more convenient place to turn around.Noteworthy details: This was the only hotel I could not connect to the internet with my Chromebook. My smartphone connected with no problem but while I could see and connect to the Wi-Fi it would not connect to the internet. Since I was not doing anything important it was not worth spending much time on.

We have stayed at Country Inns for years. This one is a little older and is getting due for a face-lift. The staff was fantastic (as usual). The evening clerk was especially friendly and helpful. We would suggest this hotel.
