I visited my brother here! It smells like the natural history museum inside which I absolutely love!

Too long, don’t wanna read? We love our home. We’ve been living at the Woolen Mill since October 2021 and we’re SO grateful to be here. The apartment is spacious and airy (which can be expensive in the winter but we weatherize the windows) and the building’s common areas are immaculate. Our grounds and facilities staff are lovely and super helpful. The property manager Tammy is fair, clear, crisp, and timely—everything you’d want in this role. The team hosts small events/giveaways a few times per year that make it feel like a little community. We don’t struggle with loud neighbors—when we do hear things, it’s muffled and minimal. The only complaint we have is the cost of heating but it’s sort of what happens when you have 16ft ceilings and 12ft windows. Beautiful spot to be in!

The office staff is on top things: Timely correspondence for questions/issues, and timely maintenance repairs. The location is also convenient: Several shopping squares within a mile of this building - small farmers markets, an organic food market, restaurants, a post office, a small arcade, and bars.

ITs tremendously expensive and they make no effort to make your *amenities* actually available to you. Since the pandemic they shove all your packages in a tiny room where you can't find them. They towed me for no reason, and harrassed my elderly parents when I let them use MY parking permit. If you want to pay through the nose you can do a lot better.

The woolen mill is the worst place I've ever lived, Out of the first 3 months I lived here i spent 2 of them without a working oven due to their maintenance being "understaffed". When I first moved in i made them aware that i work nights and am sleeping on Monday and Tuesday during the day until 3:00pm but this information i gave them and keep giving them because they keep scheduling all of their maintenance upkeep during the times i will be asleep and now that i notified them I'm leaving at the end of my lease then have scheduled multiple apartment showings with only giving me 24 hours notice witch is breaking he lease i signed and have scheduled another 2 showings on Monday during the time i will be sleeping, and when this was brought to there attention they told me "I'm sorry we have to accommodate other people's schedule".

I lived there back in 1998 when I first moved to Vermont. On move in day, they were not ready for me to move in to my basement floor apartment at the agreed on time. I had to kill hours with my movers on the clock staring at me while I waited for management to have the unit ready. Then I frequently had to deal with my closets flooding. It was so damp at all times in that apartment, I ended up with mold in my shoes. Although I had the parking permit on my car, they towed me one morning causing me to miss a day of work to get my car back. They paid for the tow, but not the damage to my front bushings that the tow truck company did. Then, after all that, they wanted to raise my rent. Needless to say, when I was put in charge of hiring people at my company, anybody that we had to move to Vermont, I gave them my honest assessment of The Woolen Mill. They earned this one star.
