We loved the Nutmeg! It is so cute and well decorated, clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on. The service was also awesome. We let them know that we were eloping that day and asked for an early check in which they were able to accommodate , and then came in to flowers, champagne and a nice note! They went so above and beyond. We will surely be back next time we’re in the area.

Loved my time there. The room was clean and nice. Especially the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise - it was very tasty with daily changing amazing specials. Though I would call the portion size “european” it is a real treat.

We spend a delightful night and morning at the Nutmeg! What a charming and comfortable place. And right in the lovely town of Wilmington where we walked and had a delicious dinner. Breakfast at the Nutmeg was fantastic! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

Everything about The Nutmeg is perfect! It is beautifully decorated with fantastic staff! The Nutmeg is a short walk from town which is filled with great restaurants and fun shopping. There are plenty of nearby trails to explore. My favorite is the Haystack trail which was absolutely fantastic!! My husband and I slept very comfortably and had a delicious fresh breakfast each morning! The French toast is a must!! Everything about our stay was so lovely! We cannot wait to come back!! :)

On an adventure bike ride on the NE BDR, my riding cohort and I needed a place for the night and we were lucky to have found rooms at The Nutmeg. Guised as a quaint old inn off the road just outside of downtown Wilmington, it was refreshingly air conditioned from the humid summer and nicely updated and appointed inside. Our charming hostess couldn’t have been more welcoming and even offered to dry some wet riding apparel. The rooms were perfect with private bathrooms and showers. The beds were made with soft sheets, plush mattresses, and were as comfy as home. Every amenity was thoughtfully anticipated and provided. A warm yet refreshing pool is just outside out back for a dip under the stars which was much appreciated. I regret not staying for breakfast despite an invitation hard to refuse … we were getting out ahead of an approaching rain storm… but fresh coffee and juice was waiting for us and the guests in the large wood-beamed dining room. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.

This was our 2nd stay and we can’t wait to go back! Everything is just right. Warm and cozy, fireplace or wood burning stoves keeps it perfect. Lots of character in every room and our host Shelley is 2nd to none! Food is great and location is perfect! 15 min from everything you need or want!

A friend and I travelled to Vermont from Colorado and our stay at The Nutmeg was perfect. We so enjoyed Shelley and her staff. The breakfast was made to order each morning and served up with a smile! We stayed in the lovely 2 bedroom suite which was ideal for us! We loved everything about our trip especially our good night’s sleep at The Nutmeg Inn in Wilmington VT.

Overall a decent place to stay. On a busy road which can be noisy and too dangerous to walk to downtown. This bed and breakfast was very welcoming had a great pool and a fun fire pit each night. Breakfast was delicious but small no muffins Etc. Room was cozy and clean no housekeeping was a pain but understandable during these times overall it would be a great place to stay during ski season with three mountains under an hour away with Mount Snow being only 15 minutes away

Absolutely lovely b&b run by the most friendly, wonderful host, Shelly! She took us in for a last minute stay and greeted us with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! The room was cozy and quaint with thoughtful touches like a wireless charger by the bedside and a muddy boot rack. The space is filled with beautiful art and books- plus there’s a kids area. The breakfast was SO GOOD! Shelly has a background in food, restaurants and food tours- so absolutely enjoy every moment of the breakfast! The “huevos rancheros” were delectable and unique. We’ll be back here for sure!

Cute and clean inn with a delicious breakfast included. Beautiful pool and fire pit area. We were well taken care of and made our 23rd anniversary a special memory. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a group of 10 adults, 2 of which were newing their vows for their 30th Anniv and selected this location for it. I can't say enough good things about it. The owners attention to comfort, details & their accommodating nature made a great trip even better. The breakfasts were fantastic, the pool is salt water, the fire pits were ready for us, the rooms were well appointed and the beds were so comfortable. None of us had a single complaint .Thank you, Shelley & Paul for a great stay, we will see you again!

We had a magical stay here. Our room was very clean, comfortable and we loved the chocolate chip cookies too. There are several downstairs areas to hang out in, including a shabby chic inspired game room, an office area, a fireplace room and an 'inspirational woman' room (it's fabulous) plus an eating area that is very charming (very new England). We stayed here with our 4 year old son and he had fun playing and discovering all the areas. The best part was the food---this is a place for foodies. We are an international couple who live in Brooklyn, NY and we have traveled extensively globally and this was hands down one of the best breakfasts we had at an inn/hotel. It is simple but beautifully executed. There are sweet and savory options but the sweet isn't overly sweet. The service is also outstanding--authentic and down-to-earth. We are definitely coming back and highly recommend.

A very comfortable place to lay your head and catch a nice breakfast in the morning. The couple that runs this B&B are from the UK and South Africa and are a very sweet couple and very helpful.Reportedly they have 14 guest rooms here. The rooms are of different sizes and they also have family suites (that I have not seen yet). All rooms seem to have different layouts and furnishings which is nice not go have a cookie cutter room in each room (as long as you are the type that is ok with that). You are greeted with a couple of chocolate chip cookies and a mini fridge which offers snacks (cookies are free, the snacks you have to pay for). There is a TV in each room and I believe each room has its own bathroom and shower. The rooms are split between the two floors and each time our room was upstairs. They do offer WiFi, but connectivity from the upstairs guest rooms is weak at best.Downstairs this B&B has a wood burning stove in one room and a fireplace in the dining room which they keep stoked. There are couches and comfy chairs to curl up in and read a book or just doze in (as I did). They have a table in one of the rooms so if you bring back a snack or dinner you can sit there and eat. They have a game room with board games and puzzles (although there are guest rooms right off of the game room, so not sure if the people playing games might disturb the guests). There's a room with books to choose from and the whole atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. They also offer a pay-as-you-go mini bar with a handful of offerings just off of one of the living rooms. The breakfast part of the "B&B" is slightly curtailed at the moment due to the pandemic. Instead of sitting at a table and ordering breakfast, you must order the evening before and a brown paper bag breakfast is waiting for you. A bit of a downer, but not anyone's fault under the conditions. But there is self-serve coffee, juice, tea, etc. for those that need. I wish coffee was left out and fresh for more than just breakfast, but that's ok, there's an independent coffee place just up the road on Route 9 within walking distance. They also have a relatively new outdoor pool which I think would be nice to come back and use during the summer weather and perhaps we might just do it .... after all, our most recently visit, it was -12.4 degrees when we woke up in the morning which didn't allow for a refreshing swim.
