I have been a patient at SMVC in Wilmington VT for about 15 years and Peter Park was my physician. He left SMVC about two years ago and I have yet to find a replacement GP and the only remaining doctor is not taking new patients. I did meet with a nurse practitioner, Lisa Moulin (sp?), because I needed a checkup before I had cataract surgery. I can’t get another appointment with her until October. It’s now May 26th!SVMC in Wilmington WAS wonderful, the staff was courteous, informed and a pleasure to work with. Now, however, the people I contact are rude, and can’t wait to get me off the phone.I’m 79 years old. I would think that SMVC has some ethical or moral obligation to provide medical continuity for me. Very disappointed.Margo Dunn

After 20+ years my husband was told he was no longer a patient because he hasn't been seen in 3 years. He was never sent a letter or received a phone call from his doctors office stating he needs to be seen or he would no longer be a patient there. Spoke with Jen, very rude. Hesitant on answering my question. Hesitant on transferring me to manager of office. Why can no one in this doctors office answer me on why nothing is being sent out to patients as that's what all other doctors offices do and it's a requirement. Hopefully I'll get a call back from office manager and issue will be resolved and hopefully this Jen girl will learn how to treat people with respect. Might just go talk to the office manager face to face seems no one probably hears about this situation because they get hulted at the front desk with the nasty attitude of the receptionist.

I recommend looking elsewhere for care. The front end staff was extremely rude and dismissive. The doctor did a bait and switch with the coding for billing without informing me which left me with an enormous medical bill that should have been covered if coded properly. Even if they offered me free medical care for life I would never step foot in that building again. A very upsetting experience that I will never forget. The RN's and CNA's however were great.

Rude and dismissive staff. Questionable billing practices.A family member was charged for services not rendered and they refuse to correct the billing code.I was given several referrals for other services and told the the referred offices would call to arrange the appointments. This never happens. We have had similar issues with SVMC for two years... Every visit. It is my opinion the staff at SVMC are poorly trained, incompetent, or lazy. Probably some combination of the above.

After being my primary care physician for over 10 years, I am told I haven't been in the office recently enough, and am considered a new patient again, and they are not taking any new patients, period. I tried to explain since COVID started, I have not been coming in regularly, but would like to get back to my regular checkups with my long time trusted doctor, no matter how long it may take to get in. The woman who spoke with me on the phone was very dismissive and didn't seem to want to even try to help, but rather just get off the call asap. I would have at least appreciated possible referrals to a new doctor, who is taking new patients, but nothing, no help at all. Very disappointed after all these years to be treated like this.

It takes too long to get in to see your Dr. Five weeks ahead when you call for an appointment. What's the sense? I made a VA appointment, my second choice and was seen in 8 days.I purchased a Plan F to supplement my Medicare for over $200.00 a month to go to private doctors instead of the VA. It is worthless if you can't get in on a timely basis to see your primary.I have to look at another option to this situation.

Dr. Tobits is by far the best doctor I've ever had. Smart, compassionate and dedicated. Always spends time and works to find the best treatment for me.I wish she could be cloned so everyone could have such a wonderful physician! Truly an extraordinary professional.

For over a years is impossible to get my kids seeing by their pediatrician. Always have them sent to Bennington. Their primary never able to see them. I don’t see the point to keep my kids on this clinic when a primary doctor should be seeing them not send them to different doctor la every time

Excellent medical care. Strong focus on wellness. The doctors and staff are always responsive and helpful. We are really lucky to have access to SVMC care here in the valley.

Typical poor patient care! They are never on time. You have to wait 30 minutes to be seen by the LNA then wait another 30min for the Dr to spend 5 minutes with you...but if you call because your going to be 10 minutes late for your schedule appointment you have to reschedule for two weeks out...All so they can tell you what you already know and pay an inflated bill for nothing.

Just called to make an appointment for my mother. Got the rudest girl on the phone, I think her name was Shay, she should not be in any kind of a health care position at all. They had nothing available till mid October. For a small town physician group that is completely unacceptable. Absolutely pathetic.
