Amazing, amazing, amazing. Everyone was so kind and compassionate. We felt listened to and taken seriously and because of that our cat was saved. Highly recommend. Especially Dr. Haley. She was so sweet, professional, and smart we felt like crying. Gizmo and his family says thank you.

Take it from an elderly retired people doc: this is simply as fine an experience in human or animal medical care as I have experienced (and I've had a lot of both). The practice is handsome, clean, and calm. Staff were excellent. Dr. Zwalen is clearly knowledgable, is kind and gentle, clearly interested in both her patient's and their owner's best outcomes. The documentation of the visit and follow-up were exceptional. Northern Vermont is very fortunate to have this resource.

I can not thank the wonderful, genuine folks at Peak enough. We unfortunately just had to put our sweet boy down and they were so incredibly helpful and caring all throughout the process. They walked us through every step of the way and gave us the time we needed to process everything . Thank you so much, I'm so glad we found the right place full of incredible people to put our wonderful, one of a kind boy to rest.

I was able to get immediate care for my cat. Everyone on staff was kind and informative. Information was clearly presented. They handled Ziggy really well and he can be difficult to work with. Prices are very reasonable for urgent care. The clinic itself is very clean and comfortable.

My dog is a patient of Dr.Benitah. She prescribed a medicine and when his health started to fail- I called to get a message to her - i was blown off for 4 hours and then Finally I was told that she would NOT be calling me back and I would probably not get to talk to her any time soon. they told me Dr Benitah wouwouldn’t even be able to tatalk to ER doctdoctors! because then my dog had to be rushed to the ER. But nobody from Peak cares enough to check in on my dog. Dr. benitah sucks AND the ER doc at BEVS said Dr. Benitah should have prescribed a differ medmedicine!

Very pretty and slick interior design. The WORST of human medical care practices. Referred by regular vet who couldn't fit us in and had sent the dogs chart over. Elderly dog having diarrhea. The whole ordeal took 4 hours, not counting travel. No appointments, one waits for a pet to be triaged. Waited an hour to be seen by the equivalent of a medical assistant who took a "history," then waited to be seen by a vet tech, who took a history and made a half-hearted attempt at taking vitals. Finally seen by a vet who took a history, had not looked at chart, muzzled the dog, barely touched the dog. Recommended bloodwork, couldn't/wouldn't explain relationship between the possible results of the bloodwork and possible treatments. OF COURSE, I agreed to $300+ of blood work! I waited 45 minutes (in a small room with a gas passing, trembling, anxious dog) for results; vet prescribed Flagyl, couldn't wouldn't explain options or the relationship between that drug and the results of the bloodwork. Heavily pushed a prescription dog food and probiotics (that they, conveniently, sell). Escaped having paid just under $500 dollars. The medicine worked. Was it worth it? Someone is making a lot of money, not sure it's the staff. Next time I'll pursue any other option and DEFINITELY be prepared to ask more questions.

I had to bring my dog here for an urgent care visit. We were promptly checked in and triaged. The staff is welcoming and very well spoken considering the things they see and deal with. The vet kept informing me of the actions they were taking with my dog. Not to mention, the facility is beautiful. I highly recommend Peak for urgent care that can be avoided at BEVS.

Tonight we had to bring our puppy, Mazie to urgent care! We were so anxious knowing our girl wasn’t feeling the best but the staff at PEAK were amazing & helped ease the anxiety! They went above and beyond to answer questions on the phone, the check in process was smooth, the care was amazing and we left feeling so much better! Thank you for helping our little lady tonight and giving her the best care!

Riley had a complete LLC tear. Dr. Ash repaired it, 6 weeks post op the bone is completely healed and she has a clean bill of health. Dr. Ash and his team kept in touch before, during and after surgery. They were available for any questions, and responded promptly. Definitely worthy of 5 gold stars!

The whole process was efficiently handled, considering Covid. when I met with the veterinarian I received excellent care. she handled my sweet Diamond very well, and after the ultrasound, she went over every part of the ultrasound. I was pleased that Diamond was in good hands.

I used Peaks new urgent care last night and they were wonderful! Dr. Kieber was great about explaining all of my treatment options and answering all my questions. I felt cost was reasonable considering everything. Staff was very friendly and kind even when his procedure kept them way past closing.

Utterly lacking in compassion or urgency! Please note that this review is not of the Veterinarians themselves but of the Corporate Mega Veterinary Hospital chain named Ethos (ethosvet.com) which runs them. The veterinarians appear to be independent subcontractors. I contacted this clinic because my cat has stomach cancer and I found out (belatedly) that the veterinary oncologist who had been treating him at a different hospital had moved out of state and that this group (known as "Peak Veterinary Referral Service") had the only 2 oncologists listed for the entire state. When I first called the person I spoke with was very nice and told me that someone could see my cat within the next 2 days if I got them a referral and his medical records. The situation was urgent because the cat had stopped eating and had lost a lot of weight in the course of a few days even though we tried everything the first hospital suggested. Our primary vet said he needed to see an oncologist again so I contacted "Peak" (since they have the only remaining veterinary oncologists in the state). Even though the other veterinary hospital and my primary vet sent them everything they requested within hours the front office drones (whom I later learned work at a remote call center and never spoke with the actual doctor) wouldn't even schedule an appointment nor would they confirm whether the doctor had even seen it. After calling several more times (owing to the urgency of the situation) I realized I never spoke with the same person twice and was just having a standard reply parroted back to me (I know how to recognize this since I used to work in tech support) and was starting to wonder if the people I was talking to were even located in the same office as the doctors. So I did a little internet sleuthing. Here's what I found. Peak is hosted at peak.ethosvet.com so I looked Ethos (ethosvet.com) up and learned that while Peak claims to be a "veterinary" hospital it's really just a remotely staffed front office outsourcing service. It's marketed to vets as a way for them to practice medicine and not have to run an office themselves. As a result it combines the worst aspects of WeWork, Uber & AirBNB with those of for profit health services. And that is reflected in the utter lack of competence or compassion by the people it has answering the phones. They couldn't care less whether your pet dies waiting for them to do their jobs. They just toss info over a wall and if it never gets to the doctor (as I later learned was the case when I took my pet back to the first hospital who was able to call the oncologist and talk to them directly and inquired if they had ever received the referral, which they apparently didn't) what do they care. They get paid anyway. If it weren't for the fact that they literally have a monopoly on veterinary oncology in the state (and they also lie about that because they claim to have 2 oncologists but in fact one has recently left yet they still list her on their website), there isn't any way for a pet owner to directly contact the doctor, and there is no other veterinary oncologist within hours of where I live I would take my cat someplace else. As it stands now at least the one oncologist is consulting with the other hospital and this cuts Ethos Vet out of the loop. So my recommendation is that unless you have no other choice bring your pet to a vet which is staffed and run by local people who know you and know your pet and not to some greedy corporate "referral service" which is possibly even operating illegally (no entity named Peak Veterinary or Ethos Vet is licensed in VT as far as I could tell).
