I dropped my guitars off a week and a half ago to be restrung and was told it would be done in a few days. I called numerous times and was told they are not ready yet. I finally called today and was told that they were done. I picked them up at the Williston location and drove an hour and a half home. After I returned home i opened the cases and noticed that the guitars were still missing the strings and they had not been touched at all. Thanks guys. I wasted a week and a half of my time and half of a tank of gas.

I would like to thank Dave, Anthony (the store & sales managers), Justin (my guitar tech.) Sam & Zach (sales rep.) and Jason, (my guitar instructor) for all that they have done for me from day one of my musical journey. Justin Branch, thank you for all the outstanding repairs and adjustments made and for the guidance on my new guitar purchase based on my preferences. Jason Whalon, I want to thank you for the many hours of classes in assisting me on my journey as I gradually improve technically. He knows my preferences in music and has helped me establish the fundamentals necessary to be able to play the music I hold dear to my heart and soul. Anthony, who was the first sales rep who helped me out when I arrived here to Vermont and has been very supportive and patient even when I was indecisive on gear and what not even late night before closing time. He was there to help me make a sound decision on my purchases and expedite them in a timely manner. Ty and Chris who have been nothing but supportive as well, many thanks. Guitar Center of Wiliston Vermont has been like a second family to me in a state where I have none of my own. Once again, I thank them all for their ongoing contributions as well… ?

Staff generally speaking not helpful and doesn't care. Got so turned off by the response I received when I called to order a guitar from them, that I chose not to. I guess we both lose.

Guitar Center in Williston is terrific. The managers Dave and Anthony prioritize customer service and satisfaction. The associates are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They always help me find the best deals for guitars, basses, pedals, strings, accessories, and amps. The in store selection is great, and online GC has a ton of great gear new and used. Always a great browsing and shopping experience at GC Williston!

Watch out! Bought a used amp from the store and got it shipped. The amp does not work! There is a ground loop loud hum, at least one lamp is done for and the rubber feet are missing. Used and not in working order is not the same thing. No return policy for used gear!

The store is lifeless. I've been in several times to look at instruments and gear and every time the staff have seemed indifferent to my presence. I'll pick up a guitar or be looking at amplifiers and not once have I been approached by a staff member with an offer to assist me or answer any questions I may have.

The folks there were great. It's a Guitar Center like all Guitar Centers. I found the selection a little limited, but I'm from Nashville and the store there is pretty big.

Horrible store. Apparently only one person working and doesn't have a clue about music or instruments. Obviously doesn't care about making a sale and his lack of enthusiasm completely turned me away from wanting to do business. Damn shame.

Avoid the tall chubby kid with curly hair. He will lie about store policy in order to do less work if he can. Directly contradicted what I was told over the phone when I showed up in store. Not a good experience

I take my 7-year old son for guitar lessons here and his instructor is so patient and tailors some of the lesson to his interests which is allowing my son to maintain interest and develop his skills at the same time.

Almost immediately after posting my previous 1-star review (wrong case provided with guitar), a member of the Guitar Center Customer Experience, a member of the Sales Management Team, as well as the Manager at the Williston store, reached out to me by emails and by phone, and made things right. I am totally impressed by, and very satisfied with, their customer service regarding my issue. Thank you, Guitar Center!

Extremely displeased with their service center. Dropped my guitars off 5 weeks ago. 1 needed a simple intonation and string swap, the other had what I suspected to be a wiring issue so that one would probably need some time which is totally normal.Upon dropping off I was told 10-14 days. All good. Called with no word after two weeks they said another 1-2 weeks. Then I called again, still haven’t been touched and they said they would pull them right then and they’d be done that night or the next day. Here we are 3 days later and they had even been looked at. I saw how they were stored in the back room, two 1000$ guitars buried under other guitars so I took them back. The man I spoke with said they were 3-4 weeks out on all services which I reminded him I’d be entering week 5 of waiting.I don’t expect miracles or two day turn arounds in this day and age but at least a string change shouldn’t take 5 weeks. It’s pretty unacceptable. I chose to use them out of convenience, I work emergency medicine and don’t have a ton of free time and they are conveniently close to my work. Needless to say I’ll not be using them anymore, not that I can say I used them in the end.I will say, the desk staff I spoke with were extremely nice and dealt with my calls very well. This review is directly aimed at the services and guitar tech alone. Once again this feels like another case of it’s Vermont and your choices are limited so we’ll do it as we please, customer be damned because who else can you go to.

We have been using guitar center for decades. Spent countless thousands of dollars there. My father, who is a frequent flyer there, called to get an idea of what some equipment he bought there a few years back was worth. They told him he has to bring it in. He is wheelchair bound and stated that it would be too difficult. I’m not in a position to bring it anytime soon. They told him their company policy was that they can’t help him out unless he brings it in. They have helped out in the past with inquiries like these. Can’t say I like their new policy. Apparently being a loyal customer doesn’t mean much these days. Will be shopping elsewhere for our music needs.
