Great new Staff! Gave me the best possible experience, things seem to be changing for the better. I was set up with a very nice room with a king bed overlooking the well kept property. Looking forward to staying again in the future, Greg and Cristian will make things right for you to have a enjoyable stay while in Dover Vt. !!
Nearby activities: The Last Chair has great food and atmosphere great place to bring the kids! Dover Bar & Grill always a good time and atmosphere?

New owners in the last year put some money into the rooms and they are nice. Carpet could be updated. The place is clean and there places to sit and socialize outside of the rooms. Continental breakfast was nice but nothing fancy.
Pool, hot tub, and sauna needed “repairs”. These amenities look very nice and well kept, but I think they don’t have the staffing to cover insurance liability.
They have a small arbor and the small flat field below would make it a nice (albeit, not formal) wedding venue.
It can be difficult finding open restaurants after 9pm, so go to dinner early. It isn’t NYC and you won’t the “style of ramen” you like, but there are great food options in Wilmington, 10-12 mins down the road and some good places in Dover too.
Rooms: The rooms are clean, new furnishings, and the bathrooms were recently redone.
Nearby activities: Mount Snow is almost walking distance. Nearby restaurants are nice, Wilmington and the Harriman Reservoir for boating/canoe/kayak/sailing/swimming is about 12-15 mins away.
It rained and we went into Bennington to a museum/Battle Monument, had lunch in Manchester, went to the Norman Rockwell and Frost houses.
You can swim in the Dorset quarries or the West River Covered Bridge. Rock River is close by, and you can go hiking around Brattleboro, another lovely spot.
Safety: It was quiet and in Vermont. There aren’t a lot of sidewalks, but being up and out at night isn’t an issue.

The room is very high, the pictures are misleading, there was no one to receive us, very small, low rooms, uncomfortable beds,
The yard is beautiful and was clean

Stayed for a night while working in VT. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Loved the feel and atmosphere. The owners were super accommodating and happy to give advice on local restaurants and attractions. Will definitely be back!

DO NOT BOOK. I dont know what happened to this place, but I must warn anyone to not book here. The property is real, but in absolutely disastrous condition. When we arrived, there were dozwns of garbage bags in the lobby, no staff was on the premises, check-in was supposed to be done by yourself, the food for breakfast was still in the living room, half eaten sandwhiches in the fridge. The pool has massive algae bloom and the entire place felt dilapedated. See pictures for reference. Luckily, we could still cancel and stay in Bennington for the night.

This hotel took my reservation, took my money, deciding to close down for the week so there was no one there when we went to check in and has yet to return a call or refund my money.

Pros: We picked here because it was so close to Carinthia park at Mount Snow. Price. Lots of pillows on the bed. Location to good food. Rooms are clean. TV worked. A Quiet place to sit (library)
Cons: Understaffed (2 people), no house keepers mid week, (it’s get your own everything, towels pillows) the breakfast was the worst Iv ever seen, some fruit, yogurt, tiny pastry’s, tiny muffins, frozen waffles and bagels you had to toast yourself, no eggs or bacon in sight, orange juice tasted odd, coffee maker was broke, hot tub was broke and had dirty water. Got a text that the hot tub was fixed only after we left. It dose seem like it used to be a wonderful place to come but has just fallen into disarray. Lots of unlocked/open doors. Can hear others clearly in other rooms.
Overall the room served the purpose that we needed, a bed, hot shower and roof. However I will most likely be staying elsewhere next year.

This is the best place to stay in the area. Rooms are comfortable and staff is extremely nice and helpful. I have stayed here multiple times and have always had a great experience. When it is warm out, the outdoors grounds are beautiful to walk around. During the winter you get easy access to Mount Snow for skiing.

Went to rent a room (had to stay overnight unexpectedly) and the 2 poeple working there did not speak very good english,if any at all! They had rooms available they said but website was not working so they turned down just paying cash or credit card for that room? They where texting the boss the whole time and they turned me away! There is not much snow here and vacancys all over on a Thursday night. I am sure the next place will take my $. Good luck with that business model!

The inn felt outdated and understaffed. I am not sure what has changed, as some reviews mention a hearty, home-cooked breakfast, but only a very light continental breakfast was offered (bagels, bread, pastries, yogurt, fruit). The fireplaces were not on, when I asked for an extra pillow I was told there are none, and I wasn’t able to get housekeeping despite requesting it. For the same price, I’ve had better experiences at other inns (a real breakfast, more comfortable rooms, and better ambiance in the common spaces). If proximity to Mount Snow is the top priority, this place meets that mark. On all other fronts, I was disappointed and would not return.
