Mount Snow is harassing climbers and back country skiers. If you are a climber / back country skier you should consider other ski resorts.I was climbing on the approved climbing route at 8am and got told by ski patrol the Mountain was closed for climbing. No real explanation other than basically "my bosses don't want you on the mountain".Will take my family and my dollars somewhere else from now on.

Mount Snow is perfectly placed as a gateway to Vermont Skiing. The varied mountain terrain can satisfy skiers of all levels. Nothing compares to mountain adventures.

Great snowboarding experience at Mount Snow for the past Xmas holiday week! Good snow, variety of trails/terrain, and surprisingly not too crowded over the weekend! Tho the weather was a bit cloudy and foggy, we had a blast and will definitely revisit Mt. Snow again!!

Great mountain. Great bars. The snow was perfect on the day we were there. The mountain had fewer lifts and runs open, but that was to be expected since it was mid December/pre season.

Got pretty busy even for early season, taking the bubble lift will be faster even though lines seem to be longer due to the fact the lift doesn’t stop often. Views were very good.

Love our local mountain. Very courteous staff, love that they bring in internationals. These are some of the best and friendliest people

My father rented skis for 1 day here. When receiving the skis, they were given to us latched together bottom to bottom (the employee who gave them to us did temporarily unlatch them to adjust the binding sizing on top but did not examine the ski bottoms). My father unlatched them and put them on the ground without checking the bottoms and we skied the day (I will never, ever not check and take pictures of rented equipment top to bottom again). Upon turn-in, the rental shop claimed one of the skis had "unrepairable" damage and proceeded to charge my father $500 for damage that he did not do to this one ski. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen in my life. I skied with him all day, on the exact trails. He did not damage the ski nor even bump it against anything. The terrain did not do it, I rode the same exact terrain. It was obvious that what most likely happened was that the last renter got away with damaging it and the staff did not check. Either that, or they pulled something even shadier which I'd hope isn't the case but I honestly wouldn't be at all surprised. Regardless, they were taking advantage of an older guy who treated the equipment with the utmost care.We purchased the rental insurance. They claim they cannot honor it because it is not repairable, it only covers repairable damage. Even though it wasn't my father who did the damage, I have seen multiple skis with side shots get repaired, especially good enough for a rental ski. The kicker? I asked well does he get to keep this ski he supposedly damaged since he just paid for a new pair? "No, we have to throw them out".Asked Mount Snow's front desk to help me as this was just insane. Said they can't help me because the ski shop operates independently. They are on your property, not 20 feet away from your ticket booth. Whether you like it or not you are associated with them, especially since you schedule/pay for the rentals from YOUR site.Imagine being excited for a fun day of skiing with your family just to get scammed out of $500 for damage you did not do to your equipment. Absolutely unacceptable and I will never go to a vail resort again. Whether or not you decide to ski Mt Snow, AVOID THE RENTAL SHOP AT ALL COSTS.

I was cheated by Mount Snow. I drove a long way and Mount Snow refused to honor the ticket I bought. They said my only alternative was to pay the full $129 for a new ticket Details: I bought a one day epic pass. I called see if I could go to both Okemo and Mount Snow on my pass.It was clearly explained to me: the 24 hour clock starts the first time you use the lift. I can start my ski day at 1:00 pm at Okemo then, the next morning, ski until 1:00 pm at Mount Snow. The information I was given turned out to be incorrect. The customer service counter at Mount Snow acknowledged that I was told I could use my pass but that I was misinformed. Liana attempted to resolve the problem but her boss refused to budge. She said I must pay $129 to cover their error.I called Epic Pass support. They also acknowledged that I had been misinformed but refused to make good.

The resort is lovely. They have a water machine in the lobby with the most delicious lightly flavored waters. There is a laundry...$3.75 I think to dry my rained on gear ( fall stay). Hot tub, sauna, pool. Friendly, helpful desk ( lent me an umbrella). Room was immaculate. No microwave or frig in the economy rooms...that was disappointing. I travel for work, and this stay was refreshing. Plus...my economy room had a balcony!

So disappointed with Mount Snow. I had a complaint last year when my family of five went skiing for my daughter's birthday. Was told all lifts were open when I called. Paid a lot for lift tickets, hotel and rentals. When we got there (after a long drive) only one lift was open, it only went 1/2 way up, and was black diamond/too advanced for my child - not to mention it was over an hour wait to go up. All I was told was that the lifts froze and that I could not get a refund or lift ticket for another day. I subsequently sent an email asking what actually happened and to share my displeasure. No response. Sent a second. Still no response to this day. And yet I get constant emails about epic pass, etc. Not going to Mount Snow anymore.

Being my local "big" mountain, I have a soft spot for Mount Snow, always. It's an incredible mountain, great staff, and people are always friendly. I've been going here since the early 90s and my fav trails are still there, still as great as I remember. The only downside is how crowded it's gotten over the years, especially after Haystack went private. I don't think it has anything to do with Vail but a lot to do with privitization of mountains and closing down of smaller mountains, forcing the public to the bigger mountains.

Awesome family mountain! Great snow conditions for late March! And the crowds weren't too bad considering
