Multiple times I have tried paying for my unit on a certain day, physically on the phone giving my credit card info and it used to be done on the spot. Many times in the past several months I have called or emailed on a certain day then several days go by then the person tried to charge me and unfortunately by the day that the person tries to run my credit card it may not have that amount left in there by unforseen reasons. It always seems to happen like that after it would technically be late by the time the person tries to charge me probably in hopes that now I will have to pay a late fee when in fact as done before it should have been charged immediately not wait several days later. Unfortunately am not able to talk with the CFO about it and I know calling the business number is going to do no good cuz the same person that neglects to process my payments will be the same person I would have to ask. I don't recommend renting so you don't have the same problem as I have had to deal with. Easier said then done to try and go through a different company at the moment.

Just as many others have stated, horrible communication on a disrespectful level. The woman hardly ever answers the phone and doesn't return calls. They don't address repair issues. Find a better one.

They are never in the office. They never call back. Took them almost 2 months to send me my deposit. Will never use them again! Don't go through Extra Room Storage!

I wouldn't recommend. I have been storing my things there for over a year and the lights have been completely out in the entire half of the building my storage unit is in for at least a year. No windows. I have mentioned it several times and they have ignored me. Furthermore, I needed to change the CC I had on file and called and called to get it changed with no response for quite some time. Very unresponsive to both issues.

The roads around the storage units are not kept up. We had a large pond outside our unit -as well as others. Paid faithfully for over a year, notified more than 30 days of our departure. Left before end of month. Charged us $25 for a small and I mean small pile of dirt from walking in and out on dirt and water in front of unit. Called to dispute and was dismissed.

Seriously horrible experience. We are one of the unfortunate people who have had to have a long term storage unit. We have had ours for 10 YEARS. The one time that we were more than 5 days late we received a threatening letter that said we would be locked out if we were any more than 17 days past due. You read that correctly. 17 DAYS. When I called about being several months ahead of schedule over the summer and this being our first delay due to a bank switch over I was told there were several charges that were tacked on. We paid two full months at that time and all the fees. Fast forward a month later when we go to use our storage unit and our key won't work. We go to the office that is supposed to be open until 4/4:30, depending on google or yelp, and they are closed. This was at 3:15. Unreal. Do NOT use extra room and storage.
