We were lucky enough to be in town for Andrew May Day. The owner drives 7 hours to buy lobsters to continue the tradition that Andrew started, an affordable lobster lunch. A business owner who does this has my support!!! Good selection of supplies and not inflated gas prices. I liked supporting a local, non chain, business.

I work and live near this place and I often pick my lunch here. They have daily specials like shepherds pie, Cubanos, paninis, etc. in the winter I always get some hot chili for those cold days. Consider stopping here if you’re headed for the mountain! They have great operating hours, you can pick up snacks for a trip or beers for the weekend. A great selection.

Solo traveler here. Local stop for gas and food. I grabbed a dill bagel, let me repeat, a DILL bagel. I asked for them to toast it and add cream cheese...it was delicious!!! The dill was subtle but in the best way. They had other bagels to choose from. The owner was very pleasant to talk with and mentioned he should get stickers because the back of my car is covered. They also had lunch/snack/veggies/salads (and more) that were already cooked and easy to grab.

The Village Grocery is a sweet store run by a wonderful family. You can find local Vermont treats there. Specialty beer, cookies, and chocolates. Pink House Truffles are my favorite.

The VG Kitchen had it all, friendly service, fun cooks and an automated orange juicer. I loved every minute of my experience there. I built my own sandwich and they prepared it to a T. I had a chance to make my own orange juice and that was delightful. I think everyone should come try a sandwich and juice at least once in their lifetime. :)

Visiting town and thought I'd stop by to support a local grocer. I politely asked if they had tonic and clearly interrupted the cashier on their phone. Super rude response of "it's over there". I asked for further guidance and they nastily shrugged and walked over to point to it. Must be having a bad day but being outright rude just isn't ok.

I love looking in grocery store when I travel abs this one was especially great. They just carried the right stuff. My brand of biscotti, tea, popcorn, jam and perfect produce, great cheese selection and coffee selection. I love small shops that have what you need and this did

The Village Grocery is the premier gas station in all of Vermont and possibly the world. They have an amazing deli with particularly good breakfast. They have a wide variety of Vermont coffee options. There is a wine room. They carry many types of standard and craft beer. They have a fresh orange juice machine. In the summer they have self serve cremees. The owner is often present and ensuring the best possible experience. The staff know what they are doing and many have worked there for years. Additionally, they carry an option of ethanol free gas and donate to charity with its purchase.
