“Staying at the Mad River Inn contributed to making our weekend in Waitsfield such a pleasant time. It's a beautiful inn in a quiet location, but still very accessible to the downtown and the ski areas. The views from the inn are so pleasant. The breakfasts made by the couple, Susanne and Brandon, are excellent and cooked with care. There are always wonderful home made cookies on hand ...and beverages available.
If you like conversation the hosts are accessible and very interesting to talk with. I found it enjoyable that the hosts have a little family and a dog. If you are interested in being more private, that can be an option there too. The rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated. We had a suite for our adult family of 3. The dining room and living room area are lovely and welcoming. We could not have been more pleased. 5 stars for sure!”

“The Tucker Hill Inn was the perfect place to stay for our recent ski and eclipse watching trip! Susan made our experience delightful, she was always extremely kind and accommodating and clearly wanted to make sure we had an excellent stay by ensuring we liked the breakfast and always had everything we needed in the rooms. Plus the Inn is super charming and the french toast breakfast was to die for!”

“This is an adorable and cozy hotel. The beds are soft and comfortable to sleep in. Rooms are clean and a perfect size to keep your things in while you are out hiking and biking in the area. Shower was hot eith good pressure. There is complementary breakfast in the morning (local and organic yogurt/granola, waffles, pastries, fruit, even some gluten free options!). The coffee was delicious. It is no frills and the exact vibes for an earthy Vermont trip. Had a great time using the fire pit on the patio well into the night. Sipping coffee in the reading nook was the perfect way to start the day.

This isn't a huge or fancy corporate hotel. It is a place that is filled with love and Steve works hard to keep it so. Due to some health emergencies we missed check in time and wouldn't be arriving until midnight. Steve still made sure we could get into our rooms. He had breakfast ready early so we could get to the pre-wedding activites on time. He is polite, respectful and a diligent worker. As a solo traveling lady I was very comfortable staying here.

Walkable to local businesses and a Shaw's for easy shopping. 3 minute car ride (easy 15-20 min walk) to a local bike rental shop and downhill bike trails as well as a river to cool off in.”
