We sold a home through big bear real estate. We received poor information when listing, and communications from the realtor and broker were poor. I had to explain how to “reply all” repeatedly. They lost emails to them and days later we would find out and resend. The listing seemed poor, such as 8 images of flowers in the yard, and lacking views of the actual house. We redid them and had it updated. They suggested $250k for listing and 3 weeks later said it should drop to $199k. We included the broker in correspondence about our issues during the process but she never seemed involved, never responded.
It felt like we did all the work and paid a lot for minimal help. I will try to not deal with Big Bear in the future.

Sold our vacation home through Big Bear Real Estate. Marilyn was a pleasure to work with. Her enthusiasm was fun and her hard work and all the back-and-forth she did with emails and evening phone calls, keeping us (in CT) abreast of the ever-changing situation, was was wonderful! Thank you Marilyn!

I don't write a lot of reviews, which you can look up, but definitely feel I need to write this one. Marilyn was the best referral I've ever gotten bar none. I was referred to her from a coworker and I was very impressed with Marilyn. From the beginning she was very easy to work with and somehow makes being very professional, fun and down-to-earth look easy. Having a background in customer service myself I know it's not. She was also very patient in dealing with my mother who is hard of hearing and loves asking questions. If you've ever known someone who is almost deaf you know that is huge. Marilyn went above and beyond for us even more than you would expect from a realtor. I highly recommend her, you will not be disappointed.

What a super helpful realtor! Tina was there with every aspect of selling our home. She had great ideas and was very accommodating with us when showing our home and working with potential buyers. I have used Big Bear Real Estate in the process of four buying and selling real estate transactions. Three out of the four real estate transactions went well and on all four transactions went well. The most recent house sale is where Big Bear Real Estate did not meet the professional standards of real estate as is expected by a seller.There was an error in the writing of the real estate purchase and sales addendum and Big Bear refused to take the responsibility for the error. By the way, just for the record Big Bear does not have Errors and Omission Insurance, something a buyer or seller would expect areal estate agency to have as a matter of principle and standard. This insurance may have helped them in this business transaction. As a result of this major error in paperwork, I was out of a sizeable amount of monies in the proceeds. Big Bear's response was live and learn and the house did close. Easy for them to say but it was not Big Bear who was out of the money, it was me. In my opinion, this does not represent good honest business practice. By the way, the agency has a limitation of liability of just $5,000.

The team at Big Bear was amazing throughout our home buying process. Mandy was my representing realtor and she went above and beyond to make our home buying process even easier than I could have ever imagined. After already purchasing a home previously (and not having a great experience with a different company) I had some experience and ideas of what it would be like purchasing our second home… and Big Bear really changed it up for me! If I ever purchase another home or property I will most definitely be reaching out to them first and will have way better standards for what is needed because they set the bar high! Thank you so much to Mandy, Sharon, and the Big Bear team for creating such a wonderful atmosphere to work with.

My experience was fraught with scams perpetrated mostly by the realtor. I made the mistake of trusting Larry Faust. How someone like him can keep a license I'll never know. He listed this place with 672sqft MORE than was actually there!!To make matters worse, I trusted him to recommend a home inspector. Yes, stupid, I know.A basement is a basement no matter what improvements ( a bathroom in this case) have been done. Basements are not living area. Just as rooms without closets are not bedrooms. (One of them was not)I tried to work things out but he has never responded. I can't imagine the owner wants the big bear company to have this reputation.For a more detailed list of code of ethics violations see the complaint filed to the secretary of state office of professional Regulation. I have had the pleasure of working with Big Bear Real Estate on a few occasions. I have always been extremely satisfied with the professionalism, courtesy, and helpfulness on all related real estate matters. Big Bear is the best ,we won't use any other agency, and our agent Marilyn Zopher is always thinking of our best interest and takes her time to get things done the way it should be. And will explain the things we don't understand.
