I love this place. It's true, sometimes they are out of what I want, but in general they are very well stocked. Could use more organic, but they do have some. Really friendly people! I love the smallness of this store and the neighborhood feel.

The market is now under new ownership. It is a quintessential Vermont country store. Local products, fresh food available for takeout, friendly people. Nice wine selection, too, and fresh breads. Excellent sour dough.

Really cool market, small and don't sell gas or anything but it's cool. Have baked goods, coffee, can get food for the house or a quick snack. Small town people too so they are vary nice there. I don't believe it's handicap accessible but I'm sure they would do a curbside delivery.

I love this place. A small market catering to residents, mainly, and we have really good taste! Local coffee (organic), fresh bread, great deli, and a fair selection of organic items as well as 'regular'. Wonderful friendly staff.

Overpriced, but convenient for us in West west, saxtons river, Athens and such. Nice people. Some tragedy facilitators/hawkers and r good at spreading rumors/ judgement when certain one is collecting her info and spreading around town. I'm sure of it

It's a great place to pick up odds and ends, The sandwiches are another story. I really enjoy BLTs, not BLTs with bacon that's hard enough to cut glass. And my wife likes turkey sandwiches just not ones that have 2 inches of turkey, bread scorched like the Sahara and lettuce surrounding her sandwich rather than being on it because who puts lettuce on a sandwich. Long story short, if you're really hungry and you're excited for a good sandwich for the love of God, don't get a sandwich here because your tummy will be angry and your wife will have to listen to you complain about burnt bacon for 2 hours. It's almost as bad as restaurants that serve eggs benedict but can't poach an egg to save the world.

Great place for the three years I've known about it and shopped there. Was a regular when I lived here for a year or so. Really saddened by the bad reviews. The owner is actually really nice and personable, and so is all of the staff. Store has an amazing variety of items, and is reasonably priced. Don't mind buying all that I can here (milk, produce, anything available) and shopping elsewhere for less common items. Oh, and the store is very clean. 5 stars!

I love these small town stores. The products you can find here are pretty awesome, the people are very nice and the selection is impressive. We were looking for a dog collar for our black lab and the gentleman that helped point us in the right direction was very nice and helpful.

We are new to the area and stumbled on this little gem. First off the girl in the back behind deli counter was an absolute delight! I use plant based milk in my coffee and I didn't see any, but she quickly said " go on over to the cooler and pick whatever one you want and I'll try some with you and out it out for other customers". Wow. Now THAT is small town hospitality!! Then to add to it, when I went to pay, the cashier turned out to be the owner, Avril, ( not sure I'm spelling that correctly), again , WOW! She was so helpful in helping me understand the area and very friendly.BTW...the coffee was great and the raspberry oat bars were yummy too! A great store!

I love this place. They carry extremely local maple syrup, extremely local honey, extremely local coffee, and have one of the better wine selections in the area, particularly for a general store. Many such 'general' stores tend toward tourism, but Saxton's river does not. It very much reminds me of the kind of local stores I grew up with in Vermont in the 1970s and 1980s. If you're looking for Hannaford's keep driving. I'm not, which is why I treasure this place. Pearl is always very pleasant with her regular customers, and it doesn't take much to get stories from her about growing up in Rockingham.
