Stowe Mercantile is a great country store and gift store in the heart of Stowe Village. It is a family owned business with a great atmosphere, offering a wide array of goods and just about anything you could want. It is a cool place to take a step back in time, where you can find everything from souvenirs and collectibles to home decor, kitchen items, and fashion in the boutique. The store features plenty of Vermont made products, including gourmet Vermont foods, homemade fudge, local cheese, beer, chocolate, maple flavor foods, and local creams and potions. Shoppers will also find a long candy counter with favorite candy classics and delectable delights, which is especially popular. There are pretty much anything for all ages, including new and old time toys, books, and locally made crafts like cutting boards, ceramics, and carved shorebirds. With so much to look at in its various rooms, it is a great place to wander and get lost in for a while. It is definitely worth checking out for fun things and gifts at somewhat reasonable prices.
Stowe Mercantile is an awesome country store. They have a wide variety of souvenirs, gifts, candy, & snacks. Their maple syrup selection is huge. Great one-stop shop for all things Vermont!

This is the gift store to go to if you don't want to buy useless tat but you actually want something half decent. I'd love to see a little more local art for sale - they do have some art, like the carved shorebirds, but it's more locally made crafts type stuff like cutting boards and ceramics.
