Any store open until 10pm in a small town is a winner in my book. They have organic produce and vegan items. The back of the store kind of had a bad smell. But we were so thankful a store was open and had items we actually wanted to buy.

This place was amazing - best Shaw's we have ever been to. I like the size; produce was great and they have a lot of local foods here. What really blew my mind was that we bought more than we anticipated and didn't have a cart. So we lugged our four bags to the car and were going to run back in to get our two remaining items. But we didn't have to because the two people at our register came out and delivered it to us - amazing customer service!! Highly recommend this store!

I LOVE this store !! After seeing other "yelps"I had to list one. Yes ,if you the buying anything alcoholic in this state , everyone with you at the time must show their proof of age ! Yes , Stowe is a vacation town , but you don't own the town , and the quicker you get out of town , we will both feel better !!You drive like a fool , and you are dangerous on OUR roads. So ,if you're not happy here , PLEASE stay home !!And , I adore the staff here ,they are wonderful people , every day . You probably are people that bring out the worst in others. Like I said before STAY HOME !!!!

If your looking for a healthy fresh on-the-go snack...thought I'd say come here, didn't you? DON'T come here!! The only ready-made snacks, other than whole fruit, were Oscar Meyers crap, some fried chicken, and some roll-up sandwiches. It was all so unglamorous. And unappetizing. Not what I expected from a small grocery store in a rather quaint town. Oh well!

Possibly the rudest, most unhelpful staff I have ever come across. Despite the fact that Stowe depends on visitors for its existence, they treated out-of-towners like sh*t.

This is the grocery chain to go to when in this area. They have everything that you need for your stay in Northern Vermont. I noticed that they only carry "healthy" food. For instance, we had a difficult time finding diet sodas. We found colorful organic carrots that I never before saw anywhere else. There is a very extensive fruit and vegetable department. They also carry Ben and Jerry's ice cream at a fraction of what you would pay at the factory. In general, prices are very reasonable. Shop here on your way to the ski slopes. It will be a small trek to go back and forth once you get to the mountains. Shaw's grocery stores are found in the major cities of the area like Montpelier and Stowe. Sign up for a Shaw's card to get storewide discounts.

The manager refused to sell a bottle of wine to my girlfriend and myself despite the fact that we are both over 21 and showed our valid, state issued ID's and both offered to show second forms of identification. That alone would be frustrating, but the worst part was that she refused to have a civil conversation with us and instead simply said "I won't sell this to you" and walked away to the back of the store without letting us try to talk to her. While the cashier was very kind and apologized profusely, this lack of civility from someone in management was frankly appalling. We will not be returning to this establishment.

We tried to use the recycling machine in front of the store. It only took one of our cans, spitting everything else back at us. We took our ticket to the courtesy booth to get payed and the night manager was extremely bitter and bothered to pay out the five cents. When we tried to inquire what cans the machine takes, she said I don't know with a nasty, dismissive attitude. What poor people skills for a night manager.

Small and a little cluttered, but I'd go here over their larger stores. Friendly employees, good selection(for a store this size) of meats and seafood. Really good subs-$2.99 for a 6" and $5 for a full size. They make them for you fresh. Nice assortment(again, for a store this size) of prepared foods.

Good store but small. Don't expect hugely stocked shelves. Good prices for a small grocery store. Pleasant staff. Plenty of parking. Got what I needed!
