We had an appt for someone to come check my tank for oil delivery. They decided not to come and didn't bother to let me know. They definitely need new people in the St J office.

Of all the bad experiences we have had with this company the most recent has been the worst. They had us waiting more than half a month, our oil is almost out and without it the house pipes will freeze. We called them and they do not care, they scheduled us for another week out so now it's nearly a month since the initial request. They showed up, did not fill the tank, did not even get near the pipe (no footprints) didn't even let us know there was a problem, just left without filling the tank. The tank is fully accessible they have delivered with this much snow on the ground before. This is not just a residential location, I work from home. If the pipes freeze it can damage company product. Our marker for our oil is nearly touching the bottom.

This company is something else. I had an oil delivery scheduled the driver shows up and instead of getting out of his truck to actually look to see if where my oil goes is "iced" over as he claims instead of seeing that its covered with a tarp so it doesn't get that way he drives off. So now my family and I who is almost 8 months pregnant need to wait to be put back on the schedule in another almost 2 weeks not only is it lazy but he wont be reprimanded or fired smh. Simply disgraceful on this companies part to let an employee be so lazy

CN Brown is a great community company. They are always professional and thoughtful. They take care of you like family. Thanks for all you do from the drivers to the office crew and even the after hours call service. If you don’t want to get left out in the cold or treated like a number, support the community company that supports you!

I'm visiting my parents, who are both in their late 70's in Waterford, VT. Yes, we have a steep driveway. We have been heating this house for over 40 years with oil. Today CN Brown in St. Johnsbury said our driveway was too steep and no longer could service us, said she was done talking and hung up. We did ask if it was an equipment problem, and she said it was our driveway. The driveway was clean, the salt had melted any residual snow/ice down to clean blacktop, but now it is just too steep. I even shoveled a path around the house yesterday to make it easier. Good bye, the price isn't worth the poor service!

NEGATIVE STARS: THEY SHORTED US OUT OF $200 WORTH OF OIL AND WILL NOT ADDRESS THE ISSUE, IT IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED AND I DON'T BELIEVE I HAVE EVER LEFT A NEGATIVE REVIEW OF ANY BUSINESS. Oil was ordered with an additional delivery fee of $150, and did not occur the next day. A professional was hired to assess the situation to see if our gauge was broken, however our double tank system read just under 1/4 tank, they claimed to have delivered 200 gallons, and 11 days later it read the same amount (I had not checked it after the delivery). Based on our degree days and documented Nest usage, this amount normally lasts us 8-9 months, needless to say the customer service representative left my son and I without heat on the coldest day of the winter and also hung up on me days after when I tried to explain the situation after the plumber had assessed the situation. It is not always the customer's fault, they can't assume my gauge was wrong when they did nothing to prove that perhaps theirs was fault. I did, however and it was not wrong.
