Initially I was pleased with the customer service I received from the nice folks directing calls (from either a HQ or my local store’s front office). However, I quickly found myself wasting my time with the folks I was transferred to. I had a small number of questions I wanted to have answered before purchasing an item sight unseen. Initially the item was described as an item that could be transferred from either of their two warehouses. When I called to ask a few clarifying questions about the item, I was scoffed at. I told him to go ahead and have time item delivered to my local Pete’s. After providing my name and cell, I waited for a few minutes in silence before being asked for a card number. I told him I would like to pay in cash when I’m able to see the item myself. He said “no way. All up front.” Huge waste of time. I can see why Pete’s comes up with such poor ratings. Saved myself a lot of hassle and money going elsewhere.

2nd Update. When we did our virtual walkthrough the guy looked at the battery charge indicator and tapped on it. Said huh...I'll have to look at that. He didn't. 3 Months of not having a fridge or freezer. Flickering lights, etc. After calling a remote service company and spending $300 they told me the firdge was bad and gave me a list of things to look for. (not Pete's). I finally found Brian's RV Repair. After several hours and a new battery....the thing Pete's guys didn't look for was a ground cluster falling off under the camper. Another $600 in and the camper finally works! On top of the camper itself...I am $550 into a surge porotector, $700 into a voltage booster I didn't actually need, $900 into service calls, and $200 into a new battery. All for a bad ground.
Edit: Greg in parts needs a promotion. Double the guys pay, sit him down, and have him teach everyone at Petes how it's done. I don't know if this review got the ball moving or not but Greg reached out to us. Owned the problems. Started solutions. Greg, thank you. You are the man.
I don't get it. They spend all of this money to set up massive spaces at trade shows, bring in rock star sales teams, and lower their prices to close deals....but fall completely apart the day after. I should have read all the reviews first. So I'll write another one saying the same thing as everyone else. The second you hand them a deposit, you're ghosted. I've never had to beg someone to sell me something. Never had to chase them down. It's almost intentional at this point. We picked a camper out in Feb for a firm delivery of May 1st. That was our only stipulation. May 1st delivery. I didn't haggle the price. Didn't try and negotiate free stuff. But they blew us off for so long they had to overnight our paperwork two days before delivery. After and only after I called so many times I got a person with a brain. They didn't have us set up for delivery. They had us set up to pick up the camper. They told me I never paid for the extras we had put on the camper so it was holding up paperwork. Nobody told us that. Chasing down or sales guy to move the process a long was a twice a week anger inducing process. And to top it off during the virtual walkthrough they found a broken glass door. Even the virtual walkthrough people try selling you stuff. One thing we wanted was the surge protector. So I paid for it. You think it showed up with my camper? Of course not. Think anyone has called me about the broken door? Of course not. But I will say how happy I was to hear the broken door was under warranty and when it arrives I can drive my 44' brand new camper 4 hours back to VT so they can replace it. Clowns in a circus. Volume dealers. Anything past hand them money is just a gross display of this planet lacking acountability. If my camper was on fire in their parking lot I'd still have it towed somewhere else. 85 Chances to do one thing right and they missed all of them. At this point I blame myself for not reading the bad reviews. If you buy from them after this, it's your own fault. And please don't give me the cookie cutter reply that I can contact you. I have. About 200 times. Just send me my door and surge protector.

Not a Happy Camper. Brand new Sandpiper and cannot get the propane working. Called and was told sorry call Forest River. I have to live in this rv during the winter. Never got a proper walk through either. I could go on with other issues. Not good customer service.

Carol was so nice on the phone. She made me feel like we had been doing business together for years.
She was able to find the parts I needed very effortlessly
And will definitely be a Pete’s RV customer moving forward for my needs

I wanted to provide a 5-star shout-out for Carol in parts! I needed support on ordering the necessary seals for my slide-out on my travel trailer. Carol took time out of her day to explain the types of photos needed (so we ordered the right parts) and sat with me as we ordered them to ensure I gained exactly what I needed. If you think THAT was awesome, she went above and beyond, by walking around Pete's to show me comparable slide-outs and seals - explaining typical challenges/approaches to going about doing this myself. Once the order was in, she walked me through how to do this again, so everything was top of mind. Thank you, Carol - gained a valued customer for life!

This is my 2nd time dealing with Pete's RV buying a new camper. First Alyssa(I hope I got that right) was at the front desk I told her want I wanted in a sale person, she nailed it and was supper helpful when I got there early actually showed me to the ones that I was wanting to look at. Amazing person! She pointed me to the best sales person I have had in a very very long time. Spencer Pearlstein. Amazing straight to the point no sales catch honest and if he didn't have the answer he would find it and his follow up was great! I gave him what i was looking for and he came back with a few that all meet what I asked. Then after the sale I have been able to ask him questions and with no hesitation at all he was able to answer them or get me the answers. Thank you BOTH for a great experience! I will following Spencer to which ever Pete's RV he goes to because of this!

Thanks to Chris from the service for repairing our towing system for our RV. We come from the Montreal area and we couldn't come home without this repair. Great service!

UPDATED 07/17/2024, FROM ONE STAR TO FOUR STARS. We bought a brand new 5th wheel in February 2024 but did not take delivery until early April. During our walk through an issue with an outside compartment door was identified. It was reiterated more than twice that it would be fixed before delivery. It was not, so issue number one. One week after delivery to our seasonal site at a campground, in the less than 2 hours between when my husband left to do an errand and I arrived, the huge awning came off the side of the Camper. The 3/4" screws holding this 20ft awning came away from the trailer, so issue number two. As with a previous poster on this site, this is not covered under warranty because it is our fault - we left the awning open. What is the purpose of the awning? It's not supposed to be open? Pete's RV and also supposedly Forest River said that you should close the awning EVERY TIME YOU LEAVE therefore it's not covered. The service manager said we should file a claim with our insurance. He also gave me a phone number that we could call Forest River ourself if we wanted. I am so disappointed with the lack of service we have received. I have had to hound them to even get this information. I don't even want to start on how dirty the unit was ("probably shake out dirt during the trip from Burlington "), the two TVs that came with it are not smart TVs so they can't be used, the fact the battery was dead and we had to jump it to get the auto leveler to work. Just a very disapointing and bad experience.
UPDATE. 07/17/2024
I called Forest River warranty dept and good a new awning coveted under warranty in less than 24 hours. Heater at FR was great. She asked for the photos and quickly agreed that it was a manufacturer flaw. Pete's RV received the new awning 06/22/2024 and then the wait was on for them to decide IF and then when they could replace it. Today, 07/17/2024, our new awning was installed!! Chris and Zach were great. They worked carefully and efficiently. My husband, who is very particular and hard to please, had nothing but praise for their work and demeanor. It was a long time to get here but right now we are very very happy with the outcome. Thank you Pete's RV, Greg the Service Mgr and Chris & Zach.

Five stars across the board for Pete's RV in South Burlington and my amazing new Jayco Jay Flight SLX 260BH! As a first-time RV owner, I was completely overwhelmed at first, but Pete's RV made the entire process smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
The friendly staff greeted me right away, and a big shoutout to my salesperson, Bryon Carper. He patiently explained all the features of the Jay Flight SLX, and I was impressed by how much this little trailer offered. It's perfect for our family – plenty of sleeping space, a comfortable main area, and even a decent-sized bathroom! No cramped quarters on our adventures!
Bryon's expertise and friendly service made the buying process a breeze. But Pete's RV's service goes beyond the sale. The in-depth orientation with Richard Murray was fantastic. That close-to-2-hour session ensured we left confident in operating our new camper. Richard answered every question we threw his way, big or small. Huge thanks for putting our minds at ease and in getting us prepared.
Pete's RV even delivered the trailer right to our home! Tim, the delivery person, provided excellent communication, delivered the trailer on time and in perfect condition, and even went the extra mile to help us get set up, including leveling it at our location.
Overall, I can't recommend Pete's RV and the Jayco enough. Bryon's expertise, friendly service, Richard's comprehensive orientation, and Tim's fantastic delivery experience made this a fantastic experience. The trailer itself is exactly what we were looking for. We can't wait to make some memories! Happy camper here!

We had a great experience purchasing our R-Pod at the start of the summer with Pete’s RV. Our salesman, Bailey, was very knowledgeable on all the campers we looked at and answered all the questions we had. I highly recommend going through Bailey with all your camper / RV needs!
