Went in last week to get my skates sharpened and some new hardware for my helmet as some buckles had fallen out. The young guy who did the work told me it was at no cost since it was just a few items. This was very appreciated and indicative of the consist good service here.

We went in to see about skates for our little guy. Unfortunately they were all out of skates that size. That didn’t stop them from measuring not just his size, but all three of ours. Even though they didn’t have any his size, they pointed us towards places that might. After finding them somewhere else we came back and bought a pair for each of us. To be honest even though I wasn’t really looking to go over a certain amount I found that there was plenty of skates there within my budget. With such knowledgeable and attentive staff, it’s hard to think that I’ll ever go anywhere else for skates or anything else related to them. It’s rare that I walk out of a store and feel happy and impressed. If your looking for skates or simply Great advice, take my advice and at the very least stop in and talk to the folks at Kevin Smith Sports. It will be worth it

Excellent, excellent store. My son plays hockey and lacrosse and we are there 2-3 times a month. Staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, often steering us towards sales and promotions we might have missed.

I think it's very important to shop local or the local places won't be around when we need them! With 2 kids who play hockey and lacrosse I'm a year-round regular at Kevin Smith's and am always happy with the service. I appreciate the friendliness of all the guys and their patience with the kids when fitting new skates. Highly recommend!

I am revising my review after being contacted by the general manager, Brendan. He said he checked the security footage and saw that my friend and I were indeed ignored by the staff and he offered a genuine apology and assurance that they have a lot of work to do to make the shop more inclusive and welcoming. Clearly my experience was a symptom of a much larger problem that our society faces today and now that it has been recognized, I believe a small change has been made in the right direction. I absolutely recommend you support this small business, especially after how well they handled the situation. No one is perfect and I appreciate their commitment to doing better.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Original review from Sunday, February 21st 2021~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~My friend and I went there today and we waited for 10 minutes and made eye contact with every person working and not a single person even acknowledged us. People (men) who came in after us were met with immediate greetings and service. We were TRYING to get their attention and it was like we were invisible. Stood right in front and a man behind us was greeted and helped immediately. It was almost comically typical for two women to be completely ignored in a store like that. We looked at eachother and said out loud "wow this is useless" and left. Sorry I guess you don't want to cater to women.
