Solid experience renting a Tesla. Had a minor issue with the car and ended up having to keep it longer than intended. Jason at Hertz solved all the issues and I left a happy customer despite the issue with the vehicle.

The car provided was shaking and it was an upgrade. Still had to pay the fees on that "upgrade" despite car was faulty. Me and my elderly mom were stressed about the trip using this car. We were not able to fully utilize the car and could not maximize our trip. Shame.

Understaffing resulted in poor customer service. We had to wait 10 minutes before the desk agent showed up at the desk. (5pm). Electric SUV reserved weeks in advance and no electric vehicles available. The small SUV I got was not washed. Premium pricing and sub par experience. Returning the car there was a line of 10 people waiting to get their cars. Only one agent was working.

Terrible customer service. I started out the conversation very clear on my intent . At the beginning all eas fine and by the end of the conversation, he finally figured out what I wanted I couldn't actually do and then got rude with me when I asked why my time was wasted. Avis took care of me and exceeded my expectations, don't bother with hertz.

PLEASE. Do yourself a favor and go with enterprise. DO NOT BOOK WITH A DEBIT CARD THEY WILL DENY YOUR RENTAL IN PERSON. But will let you reserve the vehicle and take a down payment online. What a joke. Enterprise had us situated and did not require a down payment. God bless that individual

I went to the booth to get my rental car (the worker was working the HERTZ counter since Hertz and Dollar share a customer service space). The guy at the counter gave me the keys to an EV and didn't realize that until I walked to the lot. We had a 6 hour drive ahead of us and an EV was just not an option for our needs. I wish he would have said it was an EV when he gave me the keys, because he was incredibly rude when I returned from the lot and asked him if he had anything else. I simply asked if he had anything else and he completely lost what ever self restraint he had to begin with. I asked him if it would make it easier if I canceled, only to be met with another rude answer with explicit language used. Long story short, he was able to get us something else, but I really did not appreciate the horrible customer service and won't be using Dollar Car Rental.I get having a rough day. It appeared that he was the only one working the counter and doing a lot of running around.Either way, they should hire people who can keep their cool and not curse at customers who are asking simple questions.

Waited 45 minutes to talk to the guy at the counter. All the people in front of me were Budget customers. The car was great. Same story for the rental return; I had to bring the keys along with the mileage, fuel level, and the return time back to the desk and wait in line again, even though I am a Hertz Gold customer.

Helpful agents at the counter. However, most cars are not clean, irritating for non-smokers because of cigarette smell. They seem to use very strong air fresheners instead cleaning these cars. Had to swap at least 3 times for a rental. Waste of time walking back and forth to the counter and the garage. Check your car play or android auto before leaving if you plan on using it.

We booked a managers special and when we got there they only had a Tesla EV. Not useful in rural Vermont. Hertz charged us additional fees since we had to get a different vehicle. We were charged both upgrade fees and additonal taxes and fees.

Bottom line up front: go with any other company at the BTV airport. Definitively the worst Hertz I have done business with. There is a single agent who is nice but there was a line of 30+ people taking well over an hour. No separate gold/presidents circle area. The vehicle class I rented was not available so they downgraded me instead of upgrading even with the “highest loyalty status” of President’s Circle. Save your money/points and go elsewhere.
